A connector includes a housing to be attached to a front face of a panel. A panel has a mounting opening through which a rear portion of the housing is inserted. The rear portion of the housing has a lance extending in a direction parallel to the front face of the panel. The mounting opening has a concave portion through which the lance is inserted. When the housing is moved in a first direction along the front face of the panel, a locking piece that continues to a concave portion locks the tip of the lance such that the housing is difficult to move in a second direction.

Electrical connector

There is provided an electric connector for simplifying the structure of the cable holding mechanism without using a special cable holding piece, reducing the number of man-hours by simplifying the operation of attaching the cable holding mechanism to a connector housing. The electric connector with a cable holding mechanism comprises a plug proper having a plurality of connector terminals fitted therein at an inner opening thereof and a cable drawing face from which wires connected to the connector terminals is drawn out, a cover cap to be fitted to the plug proper in a state where the cable drawing face is covered therewith and the cable is drawn outside, and a cable holding mechanism formed on a wall face of the cover cap. The cable holding mechanism is made up of two vertical grooves each having a width in which a flexible strip-like piece of a cable bundling piece is inserted at a position in the vicinity of a cable drawing opening formed at the inner face of the cover cap.

Electric connector with cable holding mechanism

A unit is composed in such a manner that the circuit board is fixed along the back face of the plug housing into which the contacts are incorporated. The plug type connector is assembled in such a manner that the cover housing is slid in parallel with the surface of the circuit board and incorporated into the unit. At this time, the edge section of the circuit board and the edge section of the plug housing, which is set along the circuit board, are introduced into the guide groove of the cover housing.

Connector for cartridge of electronic parts

A connector for coupling panels which does not influence upon an electrically connected part of a connector to be attached to a panel even if an external force is applied to the panel. The connector for coupling panels comprises an insulating housing having a through hole therein through which connector terminals are fitted therein, flanges orthogonal to a direction of insertion and removal through the insulating housing and projected outwardly from at least one wall face of the insulating housing, comprising front and back faces, respectively, and a pair of retainer members having flexibility, fixedly attached to both side ends or both up-down ends of the insulating housing, respectively, wherein the retainer members are provided with a pair of retainer stepped parts, facing each other, and there is a gap for allowing fixture of the panel between the front and back faces of the respective flanges and the respective retainer stepped parts of the retainer members.

Connector for coupling panels and method of coupling panels using the connector

A connector with retainer members which is not broken even if elastic retainer pieces of the retainer members are excessively bent when the connector is attached to a panel. The connector with retainer members comprises an insulating housing proper having penetration holes inside thereof through which a plurality of connector terminals are fitted therein, flanges protruded outwardly from right and left or upper and lower wall faces of the housing proper in a direction orthogonal to a direction of insertion and removal of the connector, a pair of retainer members having elasticity and fixedly attached to both sides of the back face of the flanges. The retainer members comprise posts fixedly attached to the flanges, and elastic retainer pieces having flexibility and formed by folding back the posts in a substantially inverted V-shape from each head thereof, and said elastic retainer pieces comprise retainer stepped parts at tip ends engaged with peripheral edges of attachment ports of a panel, and tongue pieces provided on the tip end of the retainer stepped parts and the tip ends of the tongue pieces are butted against the posts for restricting the elastic retainer pieces from being excessively bent.

A connector with retainer members attachable to a panel from a direction of either a front or back wall face thereof, and easily removable from the panel. The connector comprises an insulating housing having a through hole therein with connector terminals fitted in the through-hole, flanges orthogonal to a direction of insertion and removal through the insulating housing and projected outwardly from at least one wall face of the insulating housing, comprising front and back wall faces, respectively, and a pair of retainer members having flexibility, fixedly attached to both side ends or both up-down ends of the insulating housing, respectively. The retainer members are provided with a pair of retainer stepped parts, facing each other, and there is a gap for allowing fixture of the panel between the front and back wall faces of the respective flanges and the respective retainer stepped parts of the retainer members.

A receptacle type connector fixed to a side plate of an image forming device body includes a primary inserting and drawing recess which is open upward. A contact holding wall of an opponent plug type connector is inserted into and drawn out from the primary inserting and drawing recess. Even when toner intrudes into the primary inserting and drawing recess which is open, the toner can be discharged from the connector via the through-hole, which is formed in a lower portion of the primary inserting and drawing recess, by lightly tapping the receptacle type connector.

The first portions and zones extend along the housing's bottom (,), the second portions and zones extending along the housing's front wall (,) or rear wall (,), such that the housing, contacts and metals need no change in shape between the top type and side type position so that the connector is made efficiently with reduced facility investment and with reduced sorts of its parts, lowering manufacture cost and facilitating stock control of parts.

Horizontally and vertically convertible connector for printed circuit boards

A contact holding wall and the groove-shaped guide wall of the plug type connector are respectively inserted into and strongly connected with a primary inserting and drawing recess and a groove-shaped subsidiary inserting and drawing recess of a receptacle type connector. The housing of each connector has a portion surrounding the periphery of a contact holding wall. A longitudinal rib formed on the inner face of a side wall section of the receptacle type connector is engaged with a longitudinal groove of a predetermined depth formed on a side wall section of the plug type connector.
