According to one embodiment, a lateral-electric-field liquid crystal display device includes a light-emitting display layer including OLEDs and a driving circuit controlling light emission of the OLEDs, a moisture impermeable film provided to be laminated on the light-emitting display layer to prevent infiltration of moisture into the light-emitting display layer, an optical substrate provided separately from the moisture impermeable film and subjecting light from the light-emitting display region to optical processing, a first touch electrode group serving as one electrode group of touch electrodes and provided on a back surface of the optical substrate, and an extraction electrode group formed to be laminated on the moisture impermeable film, the extraction electrode group and the optical substrate have an overlapping part in plan view, and electrodes of the first touch electrode group being electrically connected to electrodes of the extraction electrode group in the overlapping part.

Display device

A display device includes a drive transistor having a first electrode connected to a first node, a second electrode connected to a second node, and a third electrode connected to a third node, a first switch having one terminal connected to the first node, a second switch having one terminal connected to the first node, a third switch controlled by a first control signal and having one terminal connected to the second node, a fourth switch controlled by the first control signal together with the third switch, and having one terminal connected to a power supply line and another terminal connected to the third node, a capacitor element having one terminal connected to the first node and another terminal connected to the second node, and a light emitting element including a pixel electrode connected to the second node, and a first common electrode.

Driving method for display device

A flash phenomenon of OLEDs at the time of power source ON of a display device is suppressed. The OLED emits light when reference potentials Vand Vare applied from power source lines to the OLED's cathode and anode respectively. While the anode can be connected to one of the power source line via a driving TFT and a lighting switch, a reset potential Vcan be applied to the anode via a reset switch and the driving TFT. The lighting switch is turned OFF and the reset switch and the driving TFT are turned ON so that Vis applied to the anode, before starting the application of the reference potentials to the power source lines. Following this state, the application of the reference potentials to the power source lines starts, and thus a normal operation of allowing the OLED to emit light starts.

Display device and driving method thereof

A method of driving a display device with a plurality of pixels including a video signal wire, a first power supply wire supplied with a first potential, a second power supply wire supplied with a second potential different to the first potential, a light emitting element arranged between the first power supply wire and the second power supply wire, a drive transistor controlling a value of a current supplied to the light emitting element, and a switch arranged between the video signal wire and the drive transistor, and inputting a signal of the video signal wire to a gate terminal of the drive transistor, wherein a minimum gradation level potential is supplied to the video signal wire after a video signal is written to the capacitor of an Nth row pixel until a video signal is written to the capacitor of an Mth (N&#x3c;M) row pixel.

Method of driving a display device

A display device includes a display region comprising a plurality of pixels, each pixel of the plurality of pixels comprises a light emitting element which includes a pixel electrode, a conductive layer below the pixel electrode and configured to receive a specified electric voltage, and a thin film transistor below the pixel electrode and the conductive layer, wherein the thin film transistor comprises a semiconductor layer which includes a channel region, a gate electrode which is overlapping the channel region, a first electrode electrically connected to the semiconductor layer and the pixel electrode, and a second electrode electrically connectable to a power supply line, wherein the conductive layer includes an overlapped region which overlaps with the channel region, and the first electrode extends so as to cover the gate electrode at the overlapped region.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel having a counter substrate, an array substrate and a liquid crystal layer held therebetween, a counter electrode provided on the counter substrate, a pixel electrode arranged on the array substrate in a matrix, a sensor circuit arranged between rows of the plurality of pixel electrodes and configured to read out intensity of capacitive coupling between the sensor circuit and a dielectric, and a counter electrode drive circuit configured to pulsatively drive a common voltage added to the counter electrode during a period of driving the sensor circuit, wherein the sensor circuit comprises a detection electrode configured to form capacitance between the sensor circuit and the dielectric and to form capacitance between the sensor circuit and the counter electrode, and wherein the counter electrode comprises an aperture including at least a portion opposed to the detection electrode.
