A flexible device is provided. The hardness of a bonding layer of the flexible device is set to be higher than Shore D of 70, or preferably higher than or equal to Shore D of 80. The coefficient of expansion of a flexible substrate of the flexible device is set to be less than 58 ppm/&#xb0; C., or preferably less than or equal to 30 ppm/&#xb0; C.

Provided is a light-emitting device having a structure in which a high refractive index component is provided between a solid light-emitting element and air, has an uneven structure on a surface in contact with air, and can be reused. The light-emitting device includes a substrate having a refractive index of 1.6 or higher and a light-transmitting property, a solid light-emitting element including a light-emitting region having a refractive index of 1.6 or higher on one surface of the substrate, and a component having a refractive index of 1.6 or higher and a light-transmitting property on the other surface of the substrate, wherein the component includes an uneven structure on a surface in contact with air and is connected to the substrate via a liquid having a refractive index of 1.6 or higher and a light-transmitting property.

One object is to reduce the weight of a lighting device including an electroluminescent material. An object is to achieve high reliability of a lighting device including an electroluminescent material. In a lighting device including a light-emitting element having an electroluminescence (EL) layer, a housing formed using an organic resin whose refractive index is greater than or equal to that of the EL layer is provided to cover a light emission surface and a top surface of the light-emitting element. In addition, an inorganic insulating film covering an inner wall of the housing provided with the light-emitting element and the top surface of the light-emitting element is preferably provided.
