There is provided a slide fastener including a pair of fastener stringers in which a plurality of fastener elements, are attached to opposing one-side edges of a pair of fastener tapes each of which is formed by coating a woven and tape-shaped core material with a coating material to form respective fastener element rows, and a slider slidably attached to the fastener element rows to engage and disengage the fastener elements. The tape-shaped core material is formed with a plurality of holes penetrating in a front back direction thereof the holes disposed at positions outer than the fastener elements in a width direction and arranged along a longitudinal direction of the fastener tapes. An edge of the each of the holes is molten, and the coating material is formed so as to cove the plurality of holes.

Slide fastener and method for manufacturing the same

A slide fastener having a waterproof structure, and having a pair of left and right fastener stringers including a pair of left and right waterproof fastener tapes and a pair of left and right fastener element rows having a plurality of fastener elements along the side ends of the fastener tapes opposite to each other; a slider for engaging and disengaging the left and right fastener elements with and from each other; and a bottom stopper which is formed over the left and right fastener tapes at lower ends of the fastener elements. The bottom stopper covers a first fastener element near the lowest end except an upper portion of its engaging head and a lower portion of the base of the second fastener element adjacent upward to the first fastener element.

An article with a slide fastener in which when a tearing force is applied to an article provided with a slide fastener and a slider makes contact with an end stop, a connecting member having flexibility and connecting between rear faces of right and left fastener stringers is disposed at a position on a side of a fastener element near the end stop, at which the force is not transmitted directly to the slider, a covering tape for covering at least the end stop and the connecting member is disposed on a rear face of the article, so that fastener elements and end stop are blocked from being damaged or the fastener elements are prevented from being dropped out of a fastener tape by a tearing force, and the connecting member is prevented from being hooked or caught by the slider so as to always realize a smooth slider operation.

The invention provides a waterproof top end stop for a slide fastener for enhancing its waterproof and airproof properties, wherein fastener elements are attached to opposing side edges of a pair of waterproof fastener tapes, an elastic top end stop is attached adjacent to the fastener elements and includes an accommodating portion in a center for accommodating a diamond; protrusions projecting in a front/rear surface direction around the accommodating portion and making a pressure contact with inner faces of blades; passage portions at entrances of the top end stop; and pressing portions on outer edges of insertion leg portions of the top end stop corresponding to the passage portions, outer sides of the pressing portions project outward with respect to contact faces of leg portions of an adjacent fastener element, and the pressing portions are pressed by flanges of the slider and the passage portions are closed firmly simultaneously.

Both sides of a fastener chain may be reinforced and an attachment object such as a bag or a case may be mounted in a stabilized condition. A reinforcement member, which is molded of thermoplastic resin, thermoplastic elastomer or synthetic rubber in the form of a turned-down U shape in its cross section and has an appropriate plasticity and flexibility, is bonded along both outer sides of a fastener chain with a thermal welding resin film. The reinforcement member has a mounting groove which enables a cloth of the attachment object such as the bag or the case to be mounted and further contains a concave groove for a sewing thread, provided in the surface thereof. The cloth of the attachment object is inserted into the mounting groove and sewed along the concave groove with a sewing thread. Consequently, the reinforcement member can be mounted simply in a stabilized condition and can ensure a long term use.

Slide fastener and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention provides a disposable diaper, which is easy to put on the wearer, and which is possible to be put on easily while the wearer is standing on both legs. The disposable diaper according to the present invention includes a diaper body having a hip portion and a belly portion, which are spread out with a crotch portion between them. The diaper further includes male members which are protrusively arranged from side portions of one of the hip portion and said belly portion in a face direction and female members, which are arranged on side portions of the other and in which the male members engage in a face direction of the side portions. The female members are provided with receiving portions in which the male members are inserted in a face direction of the side portions. Engaged surfaces perpendicular to the inserting direction of the male member are formed on the inner walls of the receiving portions and the male members are provided with engaging surfaces opposing to the engaged surfaces.

The present invention provides a disposable diaper, which is easy to put on the wearer, and which is possible to be put on easily when the wearer is standing on both legs. The disposable diaper including a diaper body having a hip portion and a belly portion, which are spread out with a crotch portion between them. The disposable diaper includes engaging means, which are arranged to be attachable/detachable, on the both side portions of the hip portion and the belly portion. The engaging means have hook elements which are disposed on the hip portion and projecting toward the belly portion, engaging faces disposed on the hook elements and facing to the hip portion, hook elements which are disposed on the belly portion and projecting toward the hip portion and engaging faces disposed on the hook elements and which are facing to the belly portion. At least one of the hook elements is sandwiched between the hook elements, so that the engaging faces come into contact with each other to engage the hook elements each other.

A fastening device molded of a synthetic resin material and adapted to be engaged with a large number of loops on one surface of a fastener part of a mating member includes a base member having on its one surface a large number of hooks integrally molded with the base member and arranged in a plurality of rows. The hooks in each hook row generally have the same hook direction aligned with an axis of the hook row, and the hooks in one hook row and the hooks in an adjacent hook row do not always have the same hook direction. At least one hook in each hook row which is adjacent to a peripheral edge of the base member have a hook direction facing outwardly away from the peripheral edge. With this arrangement, the hooks located adjacent to the peripheral edge are capable of withstand undue force tending to fatigue and eventually break the hooks.

In a hook structure for a molded surface fastener, each of hooks is composed of a rising portion, which has a rear surface rising obliquely in a smooth curve from the substrate, a front surface rising upwardly from the substrate, and side surfaces from at least one of which a reinforcing rib extends, and a hook-shape engaging portion extending forwardly from an upper end of the rising portion. The engaging portion has a varying cross-sectional area increasing progressively from its distal end toward the upper end of the rising portion. A straight line between a peak of the rib and a peak of an arcuate lower surface of the engaging portion is substantially parallel to the upper surface of the substrate. The rib is rising upwardly and substantially centrally from a side surface of base of each hook. A straight line passing a center point in height of the rib and parallel to the surface of the substrate crosses a ridge of the rib and a ridge of the rising portion of each hook in such a manner that the ratio of a line segment of the straight line between the crossing points with the ridge of the rib to a line segment of the straight line between crossing points with the ridge of the rising portion is 1/5 to 1/2.

A flexible closure device comprises a pair of elongated fastener strips each including a web portion and a marginal portion. The marginal portion includes a plurality of interlocking ribs terminating in hooked coupling heads for coupling engagement with corresponding coupling heads. The middle rib has its hooked coupling heads project slightly beyond the rest of ribs. One side surface, of the middle rib, devoid of the hooked coupling head is slightly inclined downwardly outwardly relative to the general plane of the middle rib.

A slide fastener slider comprises a pair of upper and lower wings joined integrally together at its front end by a diamond; and a pair of flanges disposed between the upper and lower wings and converged towards the rear end of the slider to thus define with the diamond a Y-shaped guide channel for running of fastener element rows therethrough. The slider further includes a plurality of large-diametered guide rollers rotatably mounted thereon for rolling engagement with the fastener element rows. The slider is specifically constructed such that there remain open spaces around the guide rollers, so that stringer tapes is quite immune from being stuck in the guide rollers.
