In a coating film transfer tool having a supply reel a transfer head, a take-up reel mounted in a main casing, and a ratchet gear on one of the reels, a sliding body, which is slidable relative to the main casing, has a cover with an opening through which the transfer head can protrude for spot transfer, and a pawl arranged to drive the ratchet gear in a direction to feed tape past the transfer head when the main casing moves relative to the sliding body in a direction such that the transfer head is withdrawn to a protected position within the cover. The cover is movable to an open position for continuous transfer.

Coating film transfer tool

A pressure sensitive transfer tape such as transfer-type pressure sensitive correction tape or transfer-type pressure sensitive adhesive tape, for mounting in a handy-type transfer tool is provided, comprising a film support, which in turn comprises an organic polymer, and a pressure sensitive transfer layer on the film support, the pressure sensitive transfer layer comprising at least a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, the support having a first coefficient of kinetic friction on the transfer layer side of the support against a surface of a receiving object and a second coefficient of kinetic friction on the rear side of the support against a head member of a transfer tool, the first coefficient of kinetic friction being larger than the second coefficient of kinetic friction, and the difference between the first coefficient of kinetic friction and the second coefficient of kinetic friction being not less than 0.01.

Pressure sensitive transfer tape

A transfer ribbon cassette a feed core for winding a transfer ribbon having a transfer film applied to one surface thereof, a takeup core for taking up the transfer ribbon fed from the feed core, a case for containing the feed core and takeup core, and a holder for supporting the feed core and takeup core in a relative positional relationship for mounting in the case. Each core is rotatably supported at one end thereof and, when mounted in the case, has a free axial end thereof supported by the case. This cassette may be used as a paint film transfer device.
