A thrust-out type container for a rod-like article such as a lipstick comprises, in the order from the outside to the inside as viewed in a diametric direction of the container, an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder and a carrier. The carrier serves to support the rod-like article attached thereto. A control cylinder integrated with the inner cylinder lies outside the outer cylinder. An intermediate cylinder is interposed between the outer cylinder and the control cylinder. The intermediate cylinder comprises an upper portion extending upward beyond an upper end of the control cylinder and a lower portion extending into the control cylinder. A coupling member serving to couple the inner cylinder and the intermediate cylinder to each other is snap-engaged with the lower portion of the intermediate cylinder.

A thrust-out type container for a rod-like article such as a lipstick basically comprising a body and a cap. The body has an axis C extending in a vertical direction and comprises, around the axis C and radially outward from the axis C, a movable member, an inner cylindrical tube, an outer cylindrical tube and a control tube in this order. An intermediate cylindrical tube is interposed between the outer cylindrical tube and the control tube. The intermediate cylindrical tube is fixed to the control tube and rotatable around the outer cylindrical tube. An outer peripheral surface of the intermediate cylindrical tube and an inner peripheral surface of the cap come in air-tight contact with each other. The intermediate cylindrical tube extends downward beyond respective lower ends of the inner and outer cylindrical tubes and has a bottom covering the respective lower ends of these tubes.

According to a hydraulic bulge forming method, a bend pipe is inserted in a cavity, and when the bend pipe is subjected to bulge forming, the bend pipe is elastically deformed by supplying a pressure medium to an interior of the bend pipe so that an inside of the bent portion is bulged along a bulging region formed at a portion of the cavity corresponding to an inside of a bent portion of the bend pipe. Whereby a reduction in a wall thickness of the outside portion of the bent portion is suppressed, so that a danger of causing breaking can be prevented.

The plug includes the surface layer made of molybdenum or molybdenum base alloy coming in contact with a workpiece to be drilled and the core covered with the surface layer. The surface of the core being in contact with the surface layer is formed uneven. Method and apparatus for preparing an edge of a steel plate in a UOE process of making steel pipes, wherein a steel plate edge is positioned between a male die and a female die which have a curvature as desired in the edge, and held substantially horizontally by holding means outside the die, and the female die is moved against the edge and the male die by action of a lever which is pivoted about a fulcrum point which is inward of the plate edge and which has a moving means at the other end of the lever opposite the fulcrum point a predetermined distance from the female die. A method of quenching a large-diameter thin-walled metal pipe includes the steps of moving the metal pipe through a heating zone and passing the pipe through a cooling zone following passage of the pipe through the heating zone. The cooling zone includes a plurality of nozzles for spraying a cooling liquid onto the pipe from the nozzles, so as to quench the pipe. The process steps further include detecting the amount of strain on the outer periphery of the quenched pipe at the rear end of the cooling zone, as seen in the direction of movement of the pipe, so as to obtain a deviation of a detected value from a preset value, and adjusting the amount of cooling liquid sprayed onto the pipe from the nozzles in accordance with the amount of deviation from the preset value, so that the adjusted cooling water spray controls the deviation of pipe emerging from the cooling zone, for example, reduces the eccentricity of a circular pipe.
