The waterproof structure includes a reel body, a spool, a first abutting member, and a second abutting member. The first abutting member includes a first body portion and at least one first annular protrusion. The first body portion abuts with the reel body. The first annular protrusion protrudes from the first body portion. The second abutting member includes a second body portion and at least one second annular protrusion. The second body portion abuts with the spool and is adjacently disposed at a predetermined first waterproof gap from the first annular protrusion. The second annular protrusion protrudes from the second body portion and is adjacently disposed at a predetermined second gap from the first body portion. The first annular protrusion and the second annular protrusion are adjacently disposed with a predetermined second waterproof gap therebetween.

Waterproof structure for a fishing reel

A first seal member is disposed forward of a one-way clutch so as to prevent water intrusion into the one-way clutch. A second seal member is disposed forward of the first seal member so as to prevent water intrusion into the one-way clutch. Further, the second seal member has a first inner peripheral surface disposed with a gap from an outer peripheral surface of a tubular portion. The first inner peripheral surface facing the outer peripheral surface of a tubular portion. At least either of the first inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the tubular portion has water-repellent properties.

Spinning reel

A spinning reel has a reel main unit, a spool shaft and a pinion gear. The pinion gear has a frontward section, an intermediate section and a rearward section. The intermediate section and the rearward section are supported in a freely rotatable manner in the reel main unit by a first support part and a second support part, respectively. The spool shaft passes through an internal circumference of the pinion gear. The spool shaft is supported in a freely rotatable manner at a position frontward of the frontward section by a third support part and at a position rearward of the rearward section by a fourth support part.

A spool for preventing backlash includes a bobbin trunk, a rear flange portion, and a front flange portion. The front flange portion includes a first protruding portion and a first oblique portion that protrudes upward and forward from a tip of the first protruding portion. The rear flange portion includes a second protruding portion and a second oblique portion that protrudes upward and rearward from a tip of the second protruding portion. A length in the radial direction of the second protruding portion is approximately the same as a length of the first protruding portion.
