A generation device, having a magneto generator, in which an AC control voltage is applied from a battery charged with a rectified output of the magneto generator to an armature winding of the generator through an inverter to control a battery voltage to a limit value or less, comprising: fixed point detection means for detecting a fixed point on a waveform of a phase current of the generator; phase current phase detection means for detecting a phase angle of the fixed point in relation to a reference phase; arithmetical operation means for arithmetically operating timing for generating the AC control voltage with reference to the phase of the fixed point; and inverter control means for controlling switch elements of the inverter so as to generate the AC control voltage at the timing arithmetically operated by the arithmetical operation means.

A control system for an electric motor for driving an electric vehicle comprising lock state judgment means to judge that the electric motor is in a lock state when a state where a rotational speed of a brushless DC motor has a value equal to or less than a set lock start rotational speed while an opening degree of an accelerator is equal to or more than a predetermined judgment opening degree continues during predetermined judgment time and lock time drive current control means to perform such a control as to gradually reduce a drive current of the motor to a lock-time limit value. Thus, when the rotational speed of the vehicle is lowered until the motor gets the lock state while the vehicle is driven in the state where the accelerator is opened with the opening degree being equal to or more than the judgment opening degree, the drive current is decreased whereby a temperature of armature coils is prevented from abnormally rising.

A stator generator for an internal combustion engine comprising a magnet rotor provided on an output shaft of the engine and having main poles of permanent magnet and interpoles of material of high permeability alternately provided thereon whereby it is operated as an electric motor when the engine starts so that a drive current flows through armature coils with each of the main poles and one of the interpoles on the advanced side of the corresponding main pole serving as one rotor pole and it is operated as a magneto generator after the engine starts so that a control current flows through the armature coils so as to generate an output for charging a battery with each of the main poles and one of the interpoles on the delayed side of the corresponding main pole serving as one rotor pole.

A power device including a magneto and a rectification circuit for rectifying an output of the magneto is provided which is capable of adjusting an output of the magneto without any specific control circuit. A field adjusting excitation coil is arranged on a side of a stator of the magneto so as to generate a field adjusting magnetic flux when it is excited, resulting in a magnet field of the magneto being varied by means of the magnetic flux. The field adjusting excitation coil is connected to an intermediate portion of a current flow circuit for a load current, to thereby be excited by the load current, so that a magnet field of a rotor of the magneto is varied depending on the load current, leading to adjustment of an output of the magneto.

Magneto-equipped power device

A generating apparatus for feeding a current to a battery using a magneto as a power supply is disclosed which is capable of varying a magnetic field acting on generating coils to widely control characteristics of the magneto. A rectifying/switch circuit is arranged between the magneto and a load, which incorporates the battery. The rectifying/switch circuit includes diodes and switch elements. The diodes are 2n (n.gtoreq.2) in number and are bridge-connected to each other. The switch elements are connected to the diodes by reverse parallel connection. A switch control unit applies an AC control voltage of a predetermined phase from the battery through the rectifying/switch circuit to the generating coils, so that a phase of the AC control voltage may be varied to widely vary characteristics of the magneto.

A power device for driving an auxiliary equipment for an internal combustion engine capable of driving both a fuel injection unit and a valve without specifically providing a adjusting valve when the engine includes no battery acting as a power supply. A generator driven by the internal combustion engine is provided therein with a generating coil for driving the auxiliary equipment which is common to both a pump motor and an actuator. A driving power feed circuit is arranged for feeding driving power to the pump motor and actuator from the generating coil for driving the auxiliary equipment which acts as a power supply. The driving power feed circuit includes a pump driving switch for switching a driving current of the pump motor, an actuator driving switch for switching a driving current of the actuator, and a switch control unit for turning on the pump driving switch and actuator driving switch at duty ratios different from each other, respectively.

Power device for driving auxiliary equipment for internal combustion

A fuel injection equipment including a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a fuel injected space of an internal combustion engine and a fuel pump is disclosed. A generator which is driven by the internal combustion engine and has characteristics of being increased in output voltage or output current with an increase in engine rotation speed is used as any one of an injector driving power supply for feeding the fuel injector with an exciting current through an injector trigger circuit and a fuel pump driving power supply. Use of the generator as the power supply permits the fuel injection equipment to be controlled without requiring a complicated control circuit.
