A floor vibration-damping apparatus damps a horizontal vibration of a floor based on an earthquake or the like. This apparatus comprises a movable supporting portion for supporting a floor structure with being free to move horizontally, and a damper working portion provided between said floor structure and a fixed floor.

A floor vibration-damping apparatus damps a horizontal vibration of a floor based on an earthquake or the like. This apparatus comprises a movable supporting portion for supporting a floor with being free to move horizontally, and a damper working portion made by a combination of a viscous damper fixed to a restricted position of the floor and a plurality of spring mechanisms positioned radiately with respect to the restricted position.

A vibration-damping floor is supported by one ends of flexible coupling members, such as chains or ropes whose the other ends are connected through guide sprockets and movable spring frames to tension springs set horizontally under the floor. A vertical vibration for the floor is absorbed by the springs.

A method of applying a floor vibration-damping work and a floor vibration-damping device supporting horizontally displaceably respective supports points of the floor structure on a fixed floor and supporting the other respective points of said floor structure on the fixed floor with a position restoring function relative to the horizontal displacement, as well as a triggering function and a damping function during said displacement.
