Provided is an insertion guide that performs accurate rotation correction between a shaft and a hole and phase correction between the shaft and hole. The shaft includes: a first guide portion at a distal end of the shaft having a diameter smaller than a diameter of the hole; a second guide portion, provided on a base end side of a first narrow cylindrical portion, and having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the hole and larger than a diameter of the first narrow cylindrical portion; and a third guide portion, provided at the distal end of the shaft, and is a recessed portion to be engaged with a protruding portion formed in the hole. The shaft being inclined with respect to the hole, is brought into contact with the hole at two points or less before the third guide portion is brought into contact with the protruding portion.

A mirror replacement device includes a gripping mechanism to grip a segment mirror, a fine drive mechanism to change a position and a posture of the gripping mechanism, a lift mechanism for the segment mirror, a first detector to detect a relative position and a relative posture between a comparison object and a target object, a second detector to detect a bend of the fine drive mechanism, and a mirror replacement controller to replace the segment mirror based on detection signals output from the above-mentioned detectors. The controller determines whether the first detector can successfully perform a measurement. When it is determined that the measurement can be successfully performed, the control is performed based on the detection signal output from the first detector. When it is determined that the measurement cannot be successfully performed, the control is performed based on the detection signal output from the second detector.

Mirror replacement device for a segmented mirror telescope and mirror replacement method thereof

A preload guide system guides, in a horizontal plane, movement of a rotation structure having journals rotating around a rotation axis having a horizontal rotation shaft. At right-side surfaces of the journals, guide bearing components press predetermined positions on the same side with respect to an axial-direction reference plane and rotatably support the journals. At left-side surfaces of the journals, guide bearing components press positions corresponding to the guide bearing components at the right side surfaces, and rotatably support the journals. The support systems adjust displacement amounts of the guide bearing components such that a sum of the displacement amounts becomes zero.

Preload guide system and rotation structure

A storage device stores capturing conditions including a viewpoint position and a shooting direction of the camera, model data including a shape of a segmented mirror, and feature point data representing a positional relationship among a viewpoint position and feature points. A camera captures the segmented mirror having a reflective surface to obtain a captured image including at least a part of the reflective surface. A marker object has feature points, and is fixed at a predetermined position with respect to the camera. A feature-point extracting unit extracts multiple feature points from a captured image in which the feature points are reflected in the reflective surface, and determines positions of the feature points within the captured image. A position measuring unit calculates a position of the segmented mirror, based on the capturing conditions, the model data, the feature point data, and the positions of the feature points within the captured image.

A readhead control mechanism serves to control a readhead included in an optical encoder that measures a mechanical displacement between a fixed portion and a movable portion by reading out a gradation mark on a scale provided on the fixed portion, by using the readhead that is provided on the movable portion. The readhead mechanism includes a securing member that secures the readhead onto the movable portion, an actuator that is directly or indirectly secured onto the readhead to shift the readhead in an approaching direction or in a distancing direction, and an actuator controller that controls the actuator to maintain a constant distance between the readhead and the scale.

A phase difference detecting device includes a splitter for splitting laser beams into a first group which will travel along a first path and a second group which will travel along a second path, a beam selection/extraction unit for selecting, as reference light, one beam from the first group to allow it to pass therethrough, a path length changing unit for changing the length of the first path, a combining unit for combining the reference light and beams which construct the second group to produce interference light, and a detector for detecting the intensity of the interference light. The device changes the length of the first path using the path length changing unit to detect a path length which maximizes the intensity of the interference light for each of the beams which construct the second group, and determines a phase difference among the beams from the detected path length.

Laser phase difference detecting device and laser phase control device

Provided are a small-sized, low-cost, and easy-to-use laser optical path length difference detecting device, a laser optical path length difference detecting device, and a coherent optical coupling device. The laser optical path length difference detecting device detects an optical path length difference between propagation paths of a first laser beam () and a second laser beam (), which are mutually coherent when the beams are propagated through two arbitrary optical paths of a plurality of laser beam optical paths. The laser optical path length difference detecting device is provided with an optical path length difference variable means () for changing the optical path length difference between the first laser beam () and the second laser beam (), a wavefront inclination generating means () for inclining a wavefront of at least one of the first laser beam () and the second laser beam (), and a two-dimensional detector () for detecting the interference light intensity distribution of the first laser beam () and the second laser beam () which have passed through the wavefront inclination generating means.

Laser beam path length difference detector, laser phase controller, and coherent optical coupler

The rays of light from an object under observation are condensed by objective lens. The incident light from the objective lens is reflected by plane reflector mirror to form a focused image on a detector. The plane reflector mirror floats in at least three reflector mirror floating vessels and even if the telescope tilts, a surface of the fluid in the vessel remains leveled and the plane reflector mirror does not vibrate. Further, the plane reflector mirror includes at least three pads, each of the pads floating in a corresponding reflector mirror floating vessel.
