An autonomous vehicle control device configured to determine a control input for causing an automatic driving to travel along a target trajectory determined based on an estimated current location of the vehicle by repeatedly performing a predetermined calculation, wherein the controller estimates the current location by correcting the location of the vehicle on the map data based on the relative location of the vehicle on the traveling road, and adjusts a predetermined parameter in the predetermined calculation in accordance with the amount of correction so that the number of repeated calculations is reduced when it is determined that the estimation of the current location is not accurate based on the amount of correction of the location at that time.

An autonomous driving control device includes a steering determination unit that determines whether a driver has operated a steering unit while driving with an actuator controlled in a first control mode, an operation speed calculation unit that calculates at least one of a deviation speed, which is the change rate of deviation between a target steering angle during autonomous driving and an actual steering angle, and a steering speed, which is the change rate of the actual steering angle, and a control mode switching unit that, when it is determined that the driver has operated the steering unit, changes an instruction value to be output to the actuator from a first target control amount in the first control mode to a second target control amount in the second control mode at a change rate corresponding to at least one of the deviation speed and the steering speed described above.

Autonomous driving control device

The steering device is configured to automatically perform a steering operation of a steering wheel. The steering device is configured to determine that the steering operation of the steering wheel has been performed by the driver based on the steering angle of the steering wheel and the target steering angle, at least during a driving mode in which the steering operation of the steering wheel is automatically performed, and when it is determined that the steering operation of the steering wheel has been performed by the driver, change the operation characteristics of the steering wheel so that the steering force required when the driver steers the steering wheel is reduced compared to before the determination.

Steering device

A control mode of speed control includes a first control mode in which an actual speed is caused to follow a target speed through active use of a brake and a second control mode in which the actual speed is caused to follow the target speed while use of the brake is suppressed. An autonomous driving system changes a threshold value to a value larger than a value in the first control mode when the control mode is switched from the first control mode to the second control mode, and changes the threshold value to a value smaller than a value in the second control mode when the control mode is switched from the second control mode to the first control mode.

The steering control apparatus determines whether or not a deviation degree of a current traveling route of a vehicle with respect to a target traveling route is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, when steering control is switched from manual steering control to automatic steering control. In the automatic steering control, a command steering angle is calculated so that a difference between a real traveling route of the vehicle and the target traveling route is eliminated. However, when the deviation degree is equal to or more than the predetermined threshold, the steering control apparatus recalculates the command steering angle used in the command steering angle tracking control based on a steering angle at the time of starting the automatic steering control and the command steering angle so that a real steering angle after switching to the automatic steering control changes gradually to the command steering angle.

Steering control apparatus

A vehicle control system includes a vehicle-mounted sensor, a map database, a control rule database, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to recognize the position of a vehicle on a map; control traveling of the vehicle by using one of a plurality of control rules based on the position of the vehicle on the map, map information, and a detection result of the vehicle-mounted sensor; recognize a road section in the traveling direction of the vehicle based on the position of the vehicle on the map and the map information; specify a control rule used in the road section based on the recognized road section and control rule data; and control traveling of the vehicle in the road section by using the specified control rule.

Vehicle control system

A steering assistance device includes a steering wheel to which a driver of a vehicle inputs steering torque, a steering shaft connected to the steering wheel, a steering mechanism configured to convert a rotation of the steering shaft into a steering angle for steering target wheels, a steering actuator configured to drive the steering mechanism such that a steering angle corresponding to a command value is generated, a steering torque sensor configured to detect torque acting on the steering shaft, an information providing unit configured to provide road information of a scheduled passage area extending in a traveling direction of the vehicle, and an electronic control unit configured to control the steering actuator, based on an output of the steering torque sensor and the road information.

Steering assistance device

The automatic driving system comprises an electric power steering apparatus and a control apparatus that performs automatic steering control. The control apparatus is programmed to perform determining processing and coping processing. In the determining processing, it is determined whether the automatic driving system is working well or not working well, based on tracking condition of the target traveling route by the vehicle. The coping processing is processing to increase a degree with which the steering intervention by the driver is reflected to a control variable of the electric power steering apparatus when the automatic driving system is determined to be not working well.

Automatic driving system

A vehicle travel control device includes: an EPS device turning a wheel of a vehicle; and a control device performing autonomous driving control that controls autonomous driving of the vehicle. The autonomous driving control includes: calculating a target steering angle of the wheel; and actuating the EPS device to turn the wheel such that a steering angle of the wheel becomes the target steering angle. Calculating the target steering angle includes: calculating an autonomous driving steering angle and a target state quantity required for automatic steering in the autonomous driving; calculating a counter steering angle required for vehicle stabilization control, based on the target state quantity without using a steering wheel angle; and calculating a sum of the autonomous driving steering angle and the counter steering angle as the target steering angle.

Vehicle travel control device and autonomous driving control method

An electric power steering device, including an electric motor supplied with power from a power supply device to generate a predetermined steering assistance force for a steered wheel, and an assistance control device the controls the amount of electrical power supplied to the electric motor, according to the steering state of a steering wheel. The assistance control device detects the power supply voltage of the power supply device. The assistance control device controls the electrical current supplied to the electric motor, so as to maintain the power supply voltage greater than or equal to a set voltage which is set in advance.
