A solar panel is provided on a visible side of a display panel and includes a transmissive area, a power generator and an anti-reflector. The transmissive area transmits light. The power generator generates electric power from light. The anti-reflector is provided on a display-panel-facing surface of the power generator to prevent reflection of light on the power generator. The display-panel-facing surface of the power generator faces the display panel. The light, the reflection of which is prevented by the anti-reflector, is among light having passed through the transmissive area and been reflected by the display panel.

A magnetic sensor includes a magnetic sensor chip that includes a magnetoresistive effect element and a sealed part. The magnetoresistive effect element includes a free layer and a pinned layer. The substantially quadrilateral shape has a first side and a second side, which are substantially parallel to each other. In the plan view, from the first surface side of the sealed part, the magnetization direction of the pinned layer, in a state in which the external magnetic field is not applied on the magnetoresistive effect element, is inclined with respect to an approximately straight line found through the least squares method using a plurality of points arbitrarily set on the first side.

An electronic watch includes a pointer; a stepping motor including a coil and configured to drive the pointer; a driving circuit configured to drive the stepping motor; an A/D converter configured to detect electromotive force generated in the coil due to an impact; and a CPU configured to control driving of the driving circuit. The CPU determines a direction in which the pointer is likely to be shifted, based on the electromotive force detected by the A/D converter, determines whether the pointer is shifted due to the impact, and upon determining that the pointer is shifted, corrects a position of the pointer in accordance with the direction in which the pointer is likely to be shifted.

A current sensor has: a magneto-resistive effect element which is arranged near a current line, to which a signal magnetic field is applied, the signal magnetic field being is induced by a current that flows in the current line, and which generates a magneto-resistive change in accordance with a change of the signal magnetic field; cancelling magnetic field generating means that is provided near the magneto-resistive effect element and that generates a cancelling magnetic field that cancels the signal magnetic field; a first soft magnetic body that is provided between the magneto-resistive effect element and the current line; and a pair of second soft magnetic bodies that are provided on both sides of the magneto-resistive effect element with regard to a magnetization detecting direction of the magneto-resistive effect element.

A magnetic sensor device includes a first detection circuit that generates a first detection signal, a coil through which a feedback current is passed to generate a cancellation magnetic field, a second detection circuit that generates a second detection signal having a correspondence with a value of the feedback current, and a control circuit that controls the feedback current. In a closed-loop operation, the control circuit controls the feedback current so that the first detection signal has a constant value. In an open-loop operation, the control circuit maintains the feedback current at a constant value.

A soldering apparatus includes a cooling zone, upper and lower vent holes, an external channel, a blower unit, a heat exchanger, a pair of bypass channels, and a ventilation plate. The vent holes are provided, respectively, above and below a pair of rails configured to transport a board in the cooling zone. The external channel connects the vent holes with each other outside the cooling zone. The blower unit causes gas in the external channel to flow through the upper vent hole, the cooling zone, and the lower vent hole. The heat exchanger is provided in a lower opening linked to the lower vent hole in the cooling zone. The pair of bypass channels deliver gas above the pair of rails to the lower opening while bypassing locations of the pair of rails. The ventilation plate is provided in a space formed between the pair of bypass channels.

There is provided a solar panel including: solar cells each of which is formed in a belt-shape extending in a predetermined direction on a plate-shaped surface and which are disposed in rows in a cell-width direction; a partition area that divides the solar cells from each other; and a connecting part that connects adjoining solar cells among the solar cells electrically in series at respective ends in the extending direction. The solar cells have, across at least two of the solar cells, a transparent power generation area in which a power generation area and a transparent area are alternately disposed in the extending direction. The transparent power generation area extends over an entire cell width of at least one of the solar cells, and the connecting part is disposed at each of opposite ends in the extending direction of the at least one solar cell.

A short-circuit generator is a generator in which stator slots provided with windings of a stator placed therein each have a depth in a radial direction perpendicular to a rotor central axis whose ratio divided by a width of the stator slot in a direction perpendicular both to the radial direction and a direction of the rotor central axis, is less than three. A rotor includes: a field winding placed in each of rotor slots; a metallic damper bar placed in each of the rotor slots on an outer periphery side of the field winding; and a metallic wedge placed in each of the rotor slots on an outer periphery side of the damper bar and connected to the damper bar. A damper-bar height that is a height of the damper bar is less than a wedge height that is a height of the wedge in the radial direction.

The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a CNT fiber that is constituted of aligned carbon nanotubes (CNTs), is thin, has little irregularity in thickness, has excellent winding properties when undergoing coiling processing, and has superior conductivity. Provided is a CNT fiber constituted of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) having a thickness of 0.01 &#x3bc;m-3 mm, having a coefficient of variation for irregularity in thickness of 0.2 or less, having a distribution rate a for deviation from roundness of 40% or greater, and a distribution rate b of 70% or greater. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the CNT fiber.

A magnetic sensor comprises a magnetoresistive effect element including a first side surface and a second side surface facing in opposite directions along a first axis and a first end surface and a second end surface facing in opposite directions along a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis. The sensor has a sensitivity axis extending in a direction of the first axis, a first yoke unit provided adjacent to the first side surface of the magnetoresistive effect element, and a first bias magnetic field generation unit provided adjacent to the first end surface of the magnetoresistive effect element. The plurality of solar cells has, across at least two of the plurality of solar cells, a transparent power generation area which corresponds at least to a visible area seen from an outside and in which a power generation area and a transparent area that transmits light are alternately disposed and extend in the extending direction. In the transparent power generation area, the partition area is formed in a belt-shape having a width equal to a width of the transparent area.
