A motion manager mounted on a vehicle includes a processor. The processor receives, from an application that has determined that another object will collide with the vehicle, a motion request indicating that an additional braking force is needed, when the vehicle is stopped. The processor generates an instruction value for causing a brake device to generate a greater braking force than before the motion request is received, when the motion request indicating that the additional braking force is needed is received.

A vehicle is a vehicle on which an autonomous driving kit (ADK) is mountable. The vehicle includes: a vehicle platform (VP) that controls the vehicle in accordance with an instruction from the ADK; and a vehicle control interface that serves as an interface between the ADK and the VP. The VP receives a driver deceleration request in accordance with an amount of depression of a brake pedal by a driver, and receives a system deceleration request from the ADK through the vehicle control interface. During an autonomous mode, the VP specifies the sum of the driver deceleration request and the system deceleration request as a target deceleration of the vehicle.

Vehicle

A vehicle comprises an autonomous driving system and a vehicle platform that controls the vehicle in response to a command received from the autonomous driving system. In the vehicle, when a first signal indicates an autonomous mode, the vehicle platform performs a shift change requested through a first command only while the second signal indicates a standstill.

Vehicle with mountable and removable autonomous driving system

A vehicle control device includes a processor. The processor calculates an instruction value of an operation request for controlling an operation of an actuator mounted on a vehicle based on a motion request from an application. The processor executes feedback control on the instruction value using a deviation between the motion request and a motion result of the vehicle that is calculated based on one of detection values of four wheel velocity sensors. The processor calculates the motion result in the feedback control based on a detection value indicating the second largest vehicle body velocity among the vehicle body velocities indicated by the detection values of the four wheel velocity sensors when the vehicle is braked.

A motion manager that is mounted on a vehicle includes a processor and a memory. The processor receives a motion request that corresponds to an application from individual applications. The processor arbitrates the received motion request. The processor generates, based on an arbitration result, an instruction value of an operation request to be output to a brake control unit. The memory stores, in advance, type information of an actuator to be controlled by the brake control unit. The processor generates the instruction value of the operation request using the type information.

A vehicle motion manager includes one or more processors configured to: receive a first acceleration request value that requires degeneration and a second acceleration request value that does not require the degeneration from a first application and a second application, respectively; select a smallest acceleration request value out of the acceleration request values received by the one or more processors; when the one or more processors select the first acceleration request value, repeatedly output a degeneration value based on the first acceleration request value; and output an instruction value corresponding to the acceleration request value selected by the one or more processors or the degeneration value to an actuator of a vehicle. The one or more processors are configured to, in response to selection of the first acceleration request value, receive the degeneration value output by the one or more processors instead of the first acceleration request value.

Vehicle motion manager, vehicle control method, and non-transitory storage medium

A vehicle comprises an autonomous driving system and a vehicle platform that controls the vehicle in response to a command received from the autonomous driving system. In the present vehicle, when the autonomous driving system issues a first command to request the vehicle platform to provide deceleration to stop the vehicle and a first signal indicates 0 km/h or a prescribed velocity or less, the autonomous driving system issues a second command to request the vehicle platform to maintain stationary. And after brake hold control is finished, a second signal indicates standstill. Until the second signal indicates standstill, the first command continues to request the vehicle platform to provide deceleration.

Autonomous driving system for communicating with and controlling a vehicle via a vehicle control interface

An information processing method includes receiving shift requests to control a shift range of a vehicle from a plurality of application software products configured to implement driver assistance functions of the vehicle, arbitrating the shift requests by using, as a condition, whether each of the received shift requests is a request in a traveling range or a request in a parking range, when the traveling range is the shift range in which a driving wheel of the vehicle is rotatable and the parking range is the shift range in which the driving wheel is not rotatable, and generating an instruction value for an action request to drive an actuator based on a result of arbitration.

An ADS performs processing including setting an immobilization command to 'Applied' when an autonomous state has been set to an autonomous mode, when an acceleration command has a value indicating deceleration, when an actual moving direction indicates a standstill state, and when a wheel lock request is issued, setting the acceleration command to V1, and setting the acceleration command to zero when an immobilization status has been set to “11”.

Vehicle and method of controlling vehicle

A vehicle is a vehicle on which an ADK is mountable. The vehicle includes: a VP that controls the vehicle in accordance with an instruction from the ADK; and a VCIB that serves as an interface between the ADK and the VP. The VP outputs a brake pedal position signal in accordance with an amount of depression of a brake pedal by a driver, and outputs a brake pedal intervention signal, to the ADK through the VCIB. The brake pedal intervention signal indicates that the brake pedal is depressed, when the brake pedal position signal indicates that the amount of depression is larger than a threshold value, and indicates beyond autonomy deceleration of the vehicle, when a deceleration request in accordance with the amount of depression is higher than a system deceleration request.

Vehicle and vehicle control interface

When a vehicle control interface receives information indicating 'Forward' from a VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 0 in a signal indicating a rotation direction of a wheel. When the vehicle control interface receives information indicating “Reverse” from the VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 1 in the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel. When the vehicle control interface receives information indicating “Invalid value” from the VP, the vehicle control interface sets a value 3 in the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel. The vehicle control interface provides the signal indicating the rotation direction of the wheel to an ADK.
