A battery pack includes a plurality of unit cells, a plurality of busbars, a support member and a busbar holder. The unit cells have electrode tabs. The busbars have connection portions joined to the electrode tabs. The support member supports the electrode tabs. The busbar holder retains the busbars. The busbar holder has pressing parts that press the connection portions of the busbars toward the electrode tabs supported by the support member, and deforming parts that urge the pressing parts with a repulsive force in a direction in which the pressing parts are caused to move toward the electrode tabs. The deforming parts have leg parts that extend so as to project in a direction away from the busbars.

Battery pack, busbar holder used for battery pack, and method for manufacturing battery pack

A battery pack has a plurality of unit cells, a bus bar and a plate portion. The unit cells each includes a cell body having a power-generating element and being formed in a flat shape. Each unit cell has an electrode tab that extends out from a corresponding one of the cell bodies. The unit cells are stacked in a thickness direction of the cell bodies. The bus bar is electrically connected to the electrode tabs by laser welding. The plate portion forms a stacked structure together with the electrode tabs along an irradiation direction of the laser. Each electrode tab includes an anode-side electrode tab and a cathode-side electrode tab. The cathode-side electrode tabs have a different thickness than the anode-side electrode tabs. The plate portion is only provided on the ones of the anode-side electrode tabs and the cathode-side electrode tabs that have a smaller thickness.

Battery pack

A manufacturing method of manufacturing a battery pack that includes: a cell group obtained by stacking unit cells in a stacking direction, and a bus bar electrically connecting the unit cells. Each of the unit cells has a cell body, an electrode tab and a spacer. The electrode tabs protrude out from the cell bodies, and are supported by the spacers. The method includes positioning joining portions of the electrode tabs to the bus bar at predetermined positions in a movement direction of the spacers by moving the spacers in one direction in a state in which the unit cells and the spacers are stacked, before the bus bar is joined to the electrode tabs. In addition, the method includes joining the bus bar to the electrode tabs in a state in which the joining portions of the electrode tabs are positioned at the predetermined positions.

Manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus for film-covered electrical device

A workpiece transfer system or method is provided for transferring workpieces one set of pallets to another set of pallets using a workpiece transfer device that is movably attached to a robot. The workpiece transfer device uses mechanical devices to align the workpiece relative to the robot so that different types of workpieces can be placed into a pallet without the need of troublesome, expensive and complex image processing in which the workpiece holding positions are processed as images by using an imaging device such as a visual sensor. Preferably, the workpiece transfer device cooperates with a positional adjustment part such that the workpiece that is held by the transfer device contacts the the positional adjustment part to position the workpiece in a depthwise direction of the workpiece, a widthwise direction of the workpiece and a longitudinal direction of the workpiece.
