A media transaction device comprising: a device housing having a front panel; a media processor provided at an interior of the device housing; a media accommodating unit provided at an interior of the media processor; and a foreign matter sensor detecting absence/presence of a foreign object at the media accommodating unit. The front panel includes a first port for inserting and dispensing the media, and a first shutter opening and closing the first port. The media processor includes a second port disposed to face the first port, and a second shutter for opening and closing the second port. The media are inserted into and dispensed from the second port such that the media are inserted into and dispensed from the first port, and opening and closing of the first shutter and the second shutter are controlled based on detection results by the foreign matter sensor.

Media transaction device

A medium stacking device includes side guides that are respectively disposed in a width direction parallel to a sheet face of the medium and orthogonal to a direction of progress at positions on both sides of a portion of a stage on which a medium is stacked, and that respectively guide the medium discharged from a discharge section in the width direction using a stacking guide face. Each side guide includes a discharge guide face that guides toward a central side in the width direction on progression from the discharge section along the direction of progress, a support guide face that supports the medium from a side of the stage, and a guiding valley portion that is an adjoining portion between the discharge guide face and the support guide face, that causes a vertex or edge of the medium to slide with progression of the medium, and that causes a leading edge portion of the medium in the direction of progress to pass further to a stacking direction side than the stage arm.

The present invention provides a media processing device having improved ease of use. An automatic teller machine has: a housing having predetermined space at interior thereof, and at which opening portion is formed in at least one side surface; a unit housing that houses plural storage containers storing bank notes, and that can be accommodated within the housing, and that is provided so as to be able to be pulled out along a pull out direction to exterior of the housing via the opening portion; and a reject container housing case that is structured so as to be able to be attached to and removed from the unit housing at a front side of a unit housing front surface plate that is at a distal end side in the pull out direction of the unit housing, and that houses a reject container that stores bank notes.

There is provided a paper sheet conveying device of the present invention has: at least three or more conveying paths that are for conveying paper sheets and at each of which at least a partial segment is formed in an arc shape; and at least one or more switching portions for switching the conveying path that conveys the paper sheets, wherein the plural conveying paths are disposed such that two connection positions of each of the arc-shaped segments are connected to the connection position of the arc-shaped segment of a respectively different one of the conveying paths such that outer sides of arcs face one another, and the switching portion switches the conveying path that conveys the paper sheets, at a place of connection of the plural conveying paths.
