In a variable displacement type swash plate compressor, a connecting mechanism that connects a movable body and a swash plate includes a first arm having a first guide surface and a second arm having a second guide surface. The first and second arms extend from the movable body toward the swash plate and disposed on opposite sides of an imaginary plane that is defined to extend passing through a top dead center portion and an axis of rotation. The first arm and the second arm have a first opening and a second opening, respectively, that are open in a direction opposite to a direction in which a link pin moves on the first guide surface and the second guide surface with an increase of the inclination angle of the swash plate.

A compressor includes a swash plate rotated with a drive shaft in a swash plate chamber, a link mechanism that changes an inclination angle of the swash plate, an actuator rotated integrally with the drive shaft, and an actuator control mechanism. A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes a housing in which a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and a cylinder bore are formed, a drive shaft, a swash plate, an actuator, and a control mechanism that controls the actuator. A pressure regulation chamber is formed in the housing. The actuator includes a control pressure chamber. The control mechanism includes a control passage that connects together the discharge chamber, the pressure regulation chamber, and the control pressure chamber, and a control valve that, by adjusting the degree of opening of the control passage, changes the pressure in the control pressure chamber to allow the movable body to move. Refrigerant in the discharge chamber flows into the control pressure chamber via the pressure regulation chamber. The pressure regulation chamber functions as a muffler that reduces the pulsation of the refrigerant.

Swash plate type variable displacement compressor

An actuator of a compressor includes a partitioning body, which is rotatable integrally with a drive shaft and loosely fitted to the drive shaft in the swash plate chamber, a movable body, which is coupled to a swash plate and movable relative to the partitioning body along the axis of the drive shaft, and a control pressure chamber, the pressure of which moves the movable body. A control mechanism changes the pressure of the control pressure chamber to move the movable body. A link mechanism shifts a top dead center of a first head of a piston over a longer distance than a top dead center of a second head of the piston when the inclination angle of the swash plate changes. The actuator is located at the same side as the first cylinder bore, which accommodates the first head, as viewed from the swash plate.

A variable displacement swash-plate compressor includes an actuator that changes the inclination angle of a swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body that moves along a drive shaft axis. The movable body includes an acting portion that pushes the swash plate. The swash plate includes a receiving portion that contacts and is pushed by the acting portion. The acting portion and the receiving portion contact each other at an acting position. A bottom dead center associated part for positioning the piston at a bottom dead center is defined on the swash plate. When the drive shaft and the acting position are viewed from a direction that is perpendicular to a top dead center plane containing the top dead center associated part and the drive shaft axis, the acting position is defined at a position overlapping with the drive shaft regardless of the inclination angle.

A double-headed piston swash plate type compressor includes a rotary shaft, a drive force transmitting member, a tiltable swash plate, a movable body that changes the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a control pressure chamber defined by the movable body and the drive force transmitting member, which are arranged on one side with respect to the swash plate in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. The movable body includes a bottom portion, through which the rotary shaft extends, and a cylindrical portion, which extends from the bottom portion in the axial direction of the rotary shaft to surround the rotary shaft. The cylindrical portion is permitted to move in the axial direction while sliding along a part of the drive force transmitting member, so that the inclination angle of the swash plate is changed in accordance with the internal pressure of the control pressure chamber.

A variable displacement swash compressor includes a housing, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a link mechanism, pistons, a conversion mechanism, an actuator, and a control mechanism. The housing includes a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and cylinder bores. The control mechanism controls the actuator. The actuator includes a partitioning body, a movable body, and a control pressure chamber. At least one of the suction chamber and the swash plate chamber is a low pressure chamber. The control mechanism includes a control passage, which connects the control pressure chamber, the low pressure chamber, and the discharge chamber, and a control valve, which adjusts the open degree of the control passage. The control passage is partially formed in the drive shaft. The movable body increases the inclination angle of the swash plate when the pressure of the control pressure chamber increases.

A variable displacement swash compressor includes a housing, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a link mechanism, a piston, a conversion mechanism, an actuator, and a control mechanism. The swash plate is rotatable together with the drive shaft in a swash plate chamber. The conversion mechanism reciprocates the piston in a cylinder bore. The actuator is operative to change the inclination angle of the swash plate. The actuator is rotatable integrally with the drive shaft. The actuator includes a partitioning body, a movable body, and a control pressure chamber. The control mechanism changes the pressure of the control pressure chamber to move the movable body. The movable body and the link mechanism are located at opposite sides of the swash plate.

In a compressor of the present invention, a first acting portion and a second acting portion are formed at a rear end of a first cylinder portion of a movable body. The first and the second acting portions are formed by stepping across a top dead center surface, and are plane-symmetrical with respect to the top dead center surface. Further, an affected portion is formed on a front surface of a swash plate. The first and the second acting portions and the affected portion are located eccentrically to a top dead center position corresponding portion side from a drive shaft axis.

A swash plate type variable displacement compressor according to the present invention includes a housing having a suction chamber, a discharge chamber, a swash plate chamber, and a plurality of cylinder bores, a drive shaft, a swash plate, a link mechanism, a plurality of pistons reciprocally received in the respective cylinder bores, a conversion mechanism, an actuator that changes the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a control mechanism that controls the actuator. A swash plate type variable displacement compressor includes, a housing, a swash plate disposed in the housing and having therethrough an insertion hole, a rotary shaft inserted through the insertion hole of the swash plate, a plurality of pistons engaged with the swash plate, and a connecting member disposed between the rotary shaft and the swash plate and connecting the rotary shaft and the swash plate so as to change inclination angle of the swash plate relative to the rotary shaft. A pair of projections are provided in the insertion hole so as to extend toward the rotary shaft and restrict the movement of the swash plate relative to the rotary shaft. A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor includes first and second cylinder blocks, a rotation shaft, a double-headed piston, a crank chamber, a drive force transmission member, a swash plate, a movable body, a control pressure chamber, and a support. The control pressure chamber is defined by the movable body in the housing. The control pressure chamber moves the movable body in the axial direction of the rotation shaft. The support is located on the swash plate and supported by the rotation shaft. The drive force transmission member and the movable body are located at a first side of the swash plate in the axial direction of the rotation shaft, and the support is located at a second side of the swash plate. The drive force transmission member, the movable body, and the support set the inclination angle of the swash plate relative to the rotation shaft.

Double-headed piston type swash plate compressor

A variable displacement swash plate type compressor includes a rotary shaft, a swash plate, and an actuator capable of changing the inclination angle of the swash plate. The actuator includes a movable body. The movable body includes a sliding portion that slides on the rotary shaft or the lug member and a movable body-side transmission portion that engages with the swash plate at a position radially outward of the rotational axis of the swash plate. The movable body-side transmission portion is configured such that a perpendicular line or a normal to the movable body-side transmission portion and the rotational axis of the rotary shaft intersect with each other in a zone surrounded by the sliding portion when viewed in a direction that is perpendicular to a direction in which the rotational axis of the rotary shaft extends and perpendicular to the first direction.
