A lighting device () irradiates a web under conveyance with light. The lighting device includes a light source (), and an irradiation port () configured to open linearly in a widthwise direction of the web at an end portion facing the web. The irradiation port () is formed between first and second parallel portions () where a first plate member () and a second plate member () parallelly face each other. The web under conveyance is irradiated with linear light. It is possible to provide a lighting device capable of irradiating only an inspection region of a sheet or a web with light.

A method for adjusting color tones of a printed matter includes: a displaying step of displaying an image of a printed matter on a display apparatus () by plate data used when a pattern is printed on a printing plate used in printing performed by a printing press; an adjusting step in which an operator adjusts the color tones of the printed matter while referring to the printed matter displayed on the display apparatus (); and a reference-image displaying step of displaying a reference image of displaying an image of a printed matter obtained when a supply amount of ink used in the printing is adjusted, for reference. In the adjusting step, the operator adjusts the color tones of the printed matter based on the supply amount of the ink in the printing press while referring to the image of the printed matter displayed in the reference-image displaying step.

Method for adjusting color tones of printed matter

In a printed product color misregister amount detection method, a reference register mark including a first color area portion with a predetermined width and a blank portion in contact with the first color area portion is printed in a reference color on a printed product to be printed by a multi-color printing press. A positional shift detection register mark including a second color area portion with a width smaller than that of the first color area portion of the reference register mark is printed in a color other than the reference color to have as a target position a position where the width of the second color area portion falls within the width of the first color area portion of the reference register mark. Density information representing a density of a color component which is of the same color as that of the positional shift detection register mark within a target range including the first color area portion and the blank portion in contact with the first color area portion of the reference register mark where the positional shift detection register mark has been printed is measured. A positional shift amount between the reference color and the color other than the reference color as a color misregister amount is obtained on the basis of the measured density information.
