A treatment instrument that includes a first grasping member having a first grasping surface and a second grasping member having a second grasping surface. The treatment instrument includes a cover that covers at least a part of a region of at least one of the first and second grasping members other than the first and second grasping surfaces, and a pair of electrodes that are arranged on at least one of the first and second grasping surfaces to function as a bipolar electrode. An opening is provided in the cove, and a monopolar electrode arranged to overlap with the opening and is exposed to an outside of the treatment instrument through the opening.

A medical device comprises a housing and a sheath having opposed proximal and distal ends and being attached from the proximal end to the housing. An end effector is attached to the distal end portion of the sheath. The end effector includes a pair of grasping jaws capable of be openable and closable with respect to one another. A movable shaft includes a distal end that being connected at to the end effector and configured to be movable with respect to the sheath so as to cause the paired grasping jaws to be opened or closed with respect to one another. A movable handle is configured to pivot with respect to the housing and having an input position where an operation is inputted so as to cause the handle to pivot. The movable shaft is changeable in an initial state before the operation is inputted at the input position.

Medical device and treatment system

An electrically conductive plate of a treatment instrument includes a treating surface and a back surface facing an opposite side of the treating surface, and an electric component is arranged on the back surface of the electrically conductive plate. The electric component is electrically independent from the electrically conductive plate, and a holder supports the electrically conductive plate from the back surface side. A connector is made of a thermoplastic resin, and arranged on either side of and spaced from the electric component in a width direction intersecting with a longitudinal axis. The connector stationarily fixes each end of the electrically conductive plate in the width direction to the holder.

A treatment instrument includes a rotating body and a housing. The rotating body includes a connecting portion including: a supported portion having a cylindrical outer peripheral surface, and an engaged portion that is adjacent to the supported surface. The housing includes a supporting portion that is configured to support the supported portion of the rotating body, the supporting portion being rotatable around a predetermined rotation axis; and an engaging portion that is configured to generate a frictional force larger than a frictional force between the supporting portion and the supported portion by coming into contact with the engaged portion.

A medical apparatus includes a first jaw; a second jaw that opens and closes with the first jaw; a shaft to which the second jaw is pivotably attached; and a sliding member provided between the second jaw and the shaft, abutted to each of the second jaw and the shaft, and configured to be slidable with respect to at least one of the second jaw or the shaft.

A surgical treatment instrument includes an elongated member an end effector that is bendable with respect to the elongated member, a bending operator operable to bend the end effector, a rotor rotatable about a rotation axis in response to operation of the bending operator, and a transmitter that transmits a driving force to bend the end effector. The bending operator, the rotor, and the transmitter are rotatable about the longitudinal axis together with the elongated member and the end effector.

Surgical treatment instrument

In a manufacturing of a grasping device that is openable and closable and includes a first jaw having a first hole and a second jaw having a second hole larger than the first hole, the first jaw is arranged in between protruding portions of the second jaw. The second hole is located outside the first hole in a width direction of the grasping device, and a cross-sectional area of the second hole is larger than the first hole. A pin member is inserted through both the first hole and the second hole. The positions of the first jaw and the pin member are adjusted relative to the second jaw to predetermined positions. The pin member is fixed to the second jaw upon positioning the first jaw and the second jaw at the predetermined positions.

Manufacturing method of a grasping device and treatment instrument

A treatment tool includes a housing, a sheath rotatable around a predetermined axis of rotation with respect to the housing. An end effector is disposed on a distal-end portion of the sheath and rotatable in unison with the sheath around the axis of rotation. A locking member for restraining rotation of the sheath with respect to the housing by engaging the sheath. A manipulating member is mounted on the housing and moves with respect to the housing for causing the locking member and the sheath to switch between engaging and disengaging positions.

Treatment tool

A surgical treatment instrument includes a holdable housing, a shaft, an end effector configured to perform a bending movement with respect to the shaft, a rotor configured to rotate about a rotation axis in response to an operation input performed through an operation member, and a transmission member configured to transmit a driving force for causing the end effector to perform the bending movement to the end effector. The operation member and the transmission member are configured to rotate together with the shaft and the end effector in response to the operation input, and the rotor is configured to not rotate together with the shaft and the end effector when the operation input is performed.

A treatment tool includes a housing and a rotary element configured to be attached to the housing so as to define the treatment tool for treating an examinee. The rotary element is defined by an elongated member being rotatable about a rotational axis with respect to the housing. A rotary member is attached to the elongated member to rotate the elongated member. The rotary member is disposed coaxially with the elongated member and rotatable with respect to the housing. A locking member is used for unlocking the elongated member from the housing for rotation in response to rotation of the rotary member to allow the elongated member to rotate in the same direction as the rotary member in response to rotation of the rotary member and locking the elongated member against rotation with respect to the housing upon stopping of relative rotation between the rotary member and the housing.

In a treatment instrument, one of a pair of jaws is supported by a supporter while being pivot able around the supporter with respect to the supporter. A drive member moves along a longitudinal axis so that the pair of the jaws are closed with respect to each other, thereby applying an axial force onto an elongated member from the drive member by way of the one of the jaws and the supporter in a direction along the longitudinal axis. A contact surface of the elongated member abuts on a housing when the elongated member moves with respect to the housing under the axial force, thereby suppressing rotation of the elongated member around the longitudinal axis with respect to the housing.

A grasping treatment unit includes a first jaw, and a second jaw openable and closable relative to the first jaw. In the first jaw, a heating wire continues without branching from a first extending end to a second extending end, and generates heat over an entire length from the first extending end to the second extending end when an electric current flows therethrough. A heating portion is lower in calorific value per unit area in a distal portion than in a proximal portion in the first jaw in a state where the heat is generated from the heating wire.

A medical device that includes a support member, a heat insulator provided on at least a portion of a first surface of the support member, an energy output member configured to output energy, the energy output member provided on at least a portion of a first surface of the heat insulator, the output energy configured to treat biological tissue and a heat conductor provided on at least a portion of the first surface of the support member and contacting a second surface of the heat insulator, the second surface of the heat insulator opposite the first surface of the heat insulator, wherein a portion of the support member is located proximal than the energy output, and the energy output member is configured to transfer heat to the heat insulator, and wherein the heat conductor is configured to conduct the heat from the heat insulator to the support member.
