A transfer material is provided that can be more firmly attached to an image substrate without deteriorating printing characteristics concerning image bleeding, printing resolution, and the like. An ink receiving layer is of a gap-absorbing type. An adhesive layer includes discretely disposed adhesive pieces provided on a surface of the ink receiving layer so as to leave exposed portions on the surface of the ink receiving layer.

The present invention simplifies structures of a transfer material and a printed material both having an image based on a three-dimensional micro-structure, making manufacture of the materials more efficient and reducing prices thereof. An ink receiving layer and an adhesive are provided on a substrate of the transfer material. The ink receiving layer is of an air gap absorption type and has an image based on a three-dimensional micro-structure. Aggregates of the adhesive are discretely arranged on a front surface of the ink receiving layer.

The print medium includes an ink receiving layer that is formed on a substrate and to which a pigment ink containing a pigment and a solvent is applied. The ink receiving layer includes a pigment permeation layer through which the solvent and the pigment are enabled to infiltrate, and a solvent absorption layer through which the pigment is inhibited from infiltrating and the solvent is enabled to infiltrate, and the pigment permeation layer and the solvent absorption layer are laminated in this order from the substrate side. A heat sealable printing sheet includes a sheet-shaped base member, and an ink receiving layer disposed on a first surface of the base member and having a heat sealability. The heat sealable printing sheet further includes a heat sealable layer disposed on a second surface of the base member and made of a heat sealable resin material. The ink receiving layer contains inorganic fine particles, a water soluble resin, and a water dispersible resin. The water dispersible resin has a glass transition temperature (Tg) satisfying &#x2212;35&#xb0; C.&#x2266;Tg&#x2266;35&#xb0; C.
