A pericardial-cavity observing method including: a step of inserting an endoscope sheath and an endoscope into a space between the heart and the pericardium; a step of disposing a protruding portion closer to the pericardium than an optical member is so that an angle that is formed between a centerline that passes through a center of the protruding portion and a center of the optical member and a tangent of the pericardium that passes through a foot of a perpendicular line drawn, from the center of the optical member of the endoscope, to the pericardium sagging down from the protruding portion toward the heart becomes greater than an angle formed between the centerline and an external common tangent of the protruding portion and the optical member; and a step of observing the heart by means of the endoscope.

Pericardial-cavity observing method

A stent for medical use includes: a main body which includes a first rigid portion formed in a tubular shape along a longitudinal axis and having a predetermined rigidity with respect to a compression force exerted in a radial direction and a second rigid portion having a rigidity less than that of the first rigid portion, the second rigid portion which is substantially coaxial with and continues to a proximal end of the first rigid portion, and the second rigid portion which formed in a tubular shape along the longitudinal axis; and a gripping target region which is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the second rigid portion and is gripped by a gripping tool when the main body is led into a channel of an endoscope.

Stent for medical use

A stent includes a major axis member which has an internal space extending from a front end portion toward a base end portion, first opening section provided at the front end portion to communicate with the internal space, and second opening section provided at the base end portion to communicate with the internal space, and inflow prevention section which has an inflow prevention surface covering the second opening section with a gap with respect to the second opening section, wherein a first edge section of the inflow prevention surface is fixed to the major axis member closer to a base end than the second opening section, and a second edge section of the inflow prevention surface is disposed closer to a front end than the second opening section and extends from a side surface of the major axis member toward a position spaced apart therefrom outward in a radial direction.

Stent

A guide sheath includes: an elongated member extending along a longitudinal axis; a manipulation wire extending along the longitudinal axis of the elongated member so as to be capable of advancing and retracting; a bent section formed of a thermoplastic resin in a tubular shape and configured to be bent in accordance with advance or retraction of the manipulation wire; and a first hard section provided at a distal end surface of the bent section and formed by cross-linking the thermoplastic resin to which a distal end section of the manipulation wire is fixed.

Guide sheath and medical system

A tissue fastening apparatus includes a tissue fastening tool, with fastens a first biological tissue and a second biological tissue so as to bring the tissues into close contact and an applicator for indwelling the tissue fastening tool. The tissue fastening tool is made of an elastic wire rod and is wound in a coil shape. The applicator includes a needle tube accommodated in an inner cavity with the tissue fastening tool stretched, a stylet inserted into the inner cavity of the needle tube nearer to the proximal side than the tissue fastening tool, and a rotating mechanism that rotates the stylet around an axis when the stylet is moved toward a distal end of the needle tube. The tissue fastening tool and the stylet are disengageably engaged with each other and integrally and rotatably connected with each other. The rotating mechanism rotates the stylet in a direction opposite to the winding direction of the tissue fastening tool as seen from the proximal side.

Tissue fastening apparatus

The bendable catheter includes a flexible tubular main tube; a bendable part having a longitudinal axis and an internal space formed along the longitudinal axis, and being capable of being bent; a first coil provided in the internal space along the longitudinal axis; a second coil having a central axis extending parallel to a central axis of the first coil and provided adjacent to the first coil in a space formed between the bendable part and the first coil; and a bending manipulation wire arranged within the second coil, being capable of bending the bendable part, and having one end fixed to the bendable part.
