CHA-type zeolite in which the molar ratio of silica to alumina is less than 13, and the content of sodium is 100 ppm or more and 2000 ppm or less is provided. Such a CHA-type zeolite is obtained by a manufacturing method including obtaining a crystallized product by crystallizing a composition which includes a structure-directing agent source containing at least N,N,N-trialkylcyclohexylammonium cation, an alumina source, a silica source, a sodium source, and water and in which the molar ratio of silica to alumina is 20 or less and in which the molar ratio of potassium to sodium is less than 0.05, removing N,N,N-trialkylcyclohexylammonium cation from the crystallized product, and contacting the crystallized product with an ammonium-salt-containing solution having an ammonium concentration of 1 mass percent or more.

CHA-type zeolite and manufacturing method thereof

Provided is a &#x3b2;-zeolite that has an SiO/AlOratio of less than 20 but yet is comparable or superior in heat resistance to conventional &#x3b2;-zeolites having SiO/AlOratio of 20 or greater. This &#x3b2;-zeolite is characterized in that: in powder X-ray diffractometry using a CuK&#x3b1;-ray as a ray source, the full width at half maximum of a powder X-ray diffraction peak on the (302) plane is 0.15-0.50 inclusive; and the molar ratio of silica to alumina is less than 20.0. Preferably, the &#x3b2;-zeolite is obtained by a production method which comprises a crystallization step for crystallizing a composition comprising an alumina source, a silica source, an alkali source, a tetraethylammonium cation source and water, characterized in that the composition contains potassium and the molar ratio of potassium to silica exceeds 0.04.

Provided is a metal-containing CHA-type zeolite in which a ratio of a maximum intensity of an absorption peak in a range of 3685 cmor more and 3750 cmor less to a maximum intensity of an absorption peak in a range of 1800 cmor more and 1930 cmor less is less than 1.5 in an IR spectrum. A method for producing the metal-containing CHA-type zeolite includes a metal incorporation step of mixing a metal source and a CHA-type zeolite in which a ratio of a maximum intensity of an absorption peak in a range of 3665 cmor more and 3750 cmor less to a maximum intensity of an absorption peak in a range of 1800 cmor more and 1930 cmor less is less than 1.5 in an IR spectrum.

Metal-containing cha-type zeolite and method for producing the same

An object of the present invention is to provide an AFX zeolite having a novel structure. An AFX zeolite having a lattice spacing d of a (004) plane being not less than 4.84 &#x212b; and not greater than 5.00 &#x212b;, and a molar ratio of silica to alumina being not less than 10 and not higher than 32. Such an AFX zeolite can be produced by a production method comprising a crystallization step of crystallizing a composition at a temperature of not lower than 160&#xb0; C.; the composition containing a silicon source, an aluminum source, a 1,3-di(1-adamantyl)imidazolium cation, and an alkali metal; a molar ratio of hydroxide ions to silica being less than 0.25 or a molar ratio of silica to alumina being not higher than 27; and a molar ratio of the 1,3-di(1-adamantyl)imidazolium cation to silica being less than 0.20.

The present invention provides an LEV-type zeolite which is less likely than a conventional LEV-type zeolite to have reduced zeolite crystallinity even when exposed to high-temperature, high-humidity environments, particularly high-temperature, high-humidity environments of at least 700&#xb0; C. The LEV-type zeolite has a molar ratio of silica to alumina of at least 20 and a molar ratio of silanol groups to silicon of at most 1.5&#xd7;10. Such an LEV-type zeolite preferably has a silanol volume of at most 1.5&#xd7;10/g.

The present invention relates to a composition including a &#x3b2;-type iron silicate, which includes all or part of iron in a &#x3b2;-type framework structure, and a solid acidic porous inorganic oxide. The present invention is characterized in that the &#x3b2;-type iron silicate is compounded with the porous inorganic oxide having solid acidic properties so that the solid acidic function derived from aluminum of the &#x3b2;-type iron silicate, is reinforced or complemented by the porous inorganic oxide, the individual particles of which are physically isolated from each other. It is preferred that the fluorine content relative to the dry weight of the &#x3b2;-type iron silicate is 400 ppm or less and the crystal particles of the &#x3b2;-type iron silicate have a truncated square bipyramidal morphology. According to the present invention, a composition that is useful as a high-performance catalyst, adsorbent, or the like, can be provided.

B-type iron silicate composition and method for reducing nitrogen oxides

A first catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxides comprising a crystalline silicate containing an iron in &#x3b2;-framework structure wherein a SiO/FeOmol ratio is 20-300 and at least 80% of the contained iron is an isolated iron ion Fe. A second catalyst for reducing nitrogen oxides comprising a crystalline silicate containing an iron in &#x3b2;-framework structure wherein a SiO/FeOmol ratio is 20-300 and log(SiO/AlO) by mol is at least 2. A predominant part of the contained iron is isolated iron ion Feand at least a part thereof preferably has a tetrahedral coordination. These catalysts have high hydrothermal stability and exhibit enhanced activity for reducing nitrogen oxides by a reaction with a reducing agent such as ammonia, urea or an organic amine in a broad temperature range between lower temperature and higher temperature.
