A fuel cell stack includes a stack body formed by stacking a plurality of fuel cells together in a stacking direction. A second end plate is provided at one end of the stack body in the stacking direction. A pair of coolant supply passages are provided at upper and lower positions of the second end plate for allowing a coolant to flow into the fuel cells. A coolant supply manifold member is attached to the second end plate, and an insulating plate is provided between the second end plate and the coolant supply manifold member.

Fuel cell stack

A fuel cell stack includes a pair of end plates disposed on opposing sides of a fuel cell stacked body in a first direction, a coupling bar that bridges between the end plates, a fastening member that connects the end plates and the coupling bar in the first direction, and a cylindrical knock disposed inside an end plate side mounting hole and a coupling bar side mounting hole of the end plates and the coupling bar in the first direction, and being externally fitted to the fastening member inside the end plate side mounting hole and the coupling bar side mounting hole. A first seal member in close contact with at least an inner circumferential surface of the end plate side mounting hole and the fastening member is disposed in a portion located between the cylindrical knock and the fastening member inside the end plate side mounting hole.

A mount structure for a fuel cell stack includes a first bracket member supporting and fixing the fuel cell stack to a first installation member, and a second bracket member supporting and fixing the fuel cell stack to a second installation member. A part of the second bracket includes a constricted portion having low strength in comparison with other portions of the second bracket member.

Mount structure for fuel cell stack

A fuel cell stack includes a coolant channel provided between a first separator of a first power generation cell among power generation cells and a second separator of a second power generation cell among the power generation cells which is adjacent to the first power generation cell. A coolant manifold is connected to the coolant channel. A coolant manifold end member is connected to the coolant manifold. The coolant manifold end member includes an air vent wall having an opening provided at an uppermost position of the coolant manifold end member in a height direction of the fuel cell stack. The coolant manifold end member includes a wall which surrounds the air vent wall and which is thinner than the air vent wall. The air vent pipe protrudes from the air vent wall. The air vent pipe and the coolant manifold end member are integrally made.

A manufacturing method includes providing a cell stack including fuel cells and has a first end and a second end. A first end plate is provided at the first end of the cell stack. The first end plate has a first end plate through hole. A second end plate is provided at the second end of the cell stack. A connecting member is provided to connect the first end plate and the second end plate. A first knock is inserted into the first end plate through hole and into a first connecting member installing hole. A first seal is located between the first knock and the first end plate in the first end plate through hole. The first end plate is moved in the stacking direction to contact the connecting member. A fastening member is inserted into the first knock.

Manufacturing method of fuel cell stack

A fuel cell stack includes a bracket and a boss. The bracket includes an attachment surface. The bracket includes an attachment and detachment hole and an opening hole. The boss includes a bearing surface and a locking surface part. The locking surface part is connected to the bearing surface and protrudes in an outside direction such that at least a part of the locking surface part overlaps with the attachment surface part viewed from an attachment direction when a center of the attachment and detachment hole coincides with a center of the bearing surface.

A second end plate constituting a fuel cell stack is provided with a cooling medium supply manifold member and a cooling medium discharge manifold member. The second end plate is also provided with a mount member that affixes the fuel cell stack to an automobile body frame and covers the cooling medium discharge manifold member.

Fuel cell stack and mount structure therefor

A fuel cell stack includes unit cells, a resin load receiver, and a connecting member. The resin load receiver is provided in each of a first and second separators. The resin load receiver has a projecting portion that projects outwardly from an outer peripheral edge of each of the first and second separators and that has a projecting portion lateral face. The connecting member includes an engagement portion engaged with the resin load receiver and having a depressed portion into which the projecting portion is inserted and which has a depressed portion lateral face facing the projecting portion lateral face. A distance between the projecting portion lateral face and the depressed portion lateral face at a root portion of the projecting portion is smaller than a distance between the projecting portion lateral face and the depressed portion lateral face at an end of the projecting portion.

A fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell stack and a housing that has first and second end plates and four side plates connecting the sides of the first and second end plates. Projections provided on the first and second end plates have openings communicating with a space formed between an inner wall of the housing and a fuel cell laminate.

Fuel cell stack and fuel cell vehicle

In a fuel cell stack, knock pins extending in a stacking direction are provided between a first end plate and a second end plate for positioning a stack body. The first end plate and the second end plate have insertion holes for insertion of knock pins. A diameter-increasing surface is formed in an inner circumferential surface of each insertion hole in a direction spaced from the knock pin to increase the diameter of the insertion hole.

A fuel cell stack includes fuel cells stacked in a stacking direction, a first end plate a second end plate, and first tightening members and second tightening members. The first tightening members couple long sides of the first end plate and long sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. The second tightening members couple short sides of the first end plate and short sides of the second end plate, and extend in the stacking direction. Extensions are formed on both of long sides of the fuel cell, and the first tightening members have recessed portions engaged with the extensions.

A group of fuel gas system devices are provided at a first end plate of a fuel cell system through a block member. A cover member is provided at the first end plate to cover the group of the fuel gas system devices. Support rod members are provided at the first end plate. The support rod members protrude outward in a stacking direction to support the cover member at the front ends of the support rod members.
