In the present invention, a seatbelt device is provided with: a seat state determination unit that determines the state of a seat; a movable support section that supports a seatbelt within a range of possible movement on a seat back; a movement mechanism that, with a motor, moves the movable support section within the range of possible movement; and a motor control unit that controls the motor in accordance with the usage state of the seat determined by the seat state determination unit. Due to this configuration, the position of the seatbelt is made optimal for an occupant, and the comfort of the occupant is thus improved.

An occupant protection device is provided with: a table disposed at a position facing a seatback; and an airbag disposed in the table. The airbag deploys between the table and the upper body of an occupant sitting on the front surface of the seatback. Whether route guidance information output from a navigation device to which an external device is connectable is provided by a navigation function of the external device or by that of the navigation device is able to be identified. A navigation device () that outputs route guidance information to HMI devices () to () and an external device () having a navigation function connected to the navigation device are included. The navigation device includes an external device detection means () that detects an input from the external device and an output control means () that controls output of route guidance information to the HMI devices. When the external device detection means has detected an input from the external device, the output control means outputs route guidance information provided by the navigation function included in the external device to the HMI devices in an output mode different from when route guidance information is output to the HMI devices by a navigation function included in the navigation device.

Driving assistance system

A light distribution controller includes a pedestrian detection unit, a determination unit, and an illumination controller. The pedestrian detection unit detects a pedestrian in a predetermined area ahead of a vehicle on the basis of an image captured by an infrared camera. The determination unit determines whether a driver notices the pedestrian when the pedestrian detection unit has detected the pedestrian in the predetermined area, on the basis of whether a predetermined condition is satisfied. The illumination controller causes the headlight to be lit with a light distribution pattern without a restriction on illumination of the pedestrian until the determination unit determines that the driver notices the pedestrian, and causes the headlight to be lit with a light distribution pattern having a restriction on illumination of a body member including at least the eyes of the pedestrian after the determination unit determines that the driver notices the pedestrian.

Light distribution controller

A surrounding area of a vehicle is imaged, and target objects in the area are detected based on captured images. A driver is warned of the presence of the detected target objects by displaying a warning indication on the displayed image. If a total number of simultaneously detected target objects is equal to or less than a specified number, the warning indication of a first display mode is applied in which each target object is emphasized individually. If the total number is more than the specified number, the warning indication of a second warning display mode is applied in which one emphasized indication predefined is displayed for the whole displayed image without displaying the warning indication of the first display mode. The warning image becomes easier to understand for a driver, compared to an image where all detected objects are always emphasized individually regardless of the total number of them.

Surrounding area monitoring apparatus for vehicle

There is provided a system for immediately reflecting an intention of a driver wanting to avoid an obstacle to assistance to an avoidance operation. A vehicular operation assisting system for assisting the avoidance operation made by the driver of a vehicle in avoiding the obstacle includes an avoidance required distance calculating section for periodically calculating an avoidance required distance that is a distance required to avoid the obstacle when the obstacle is detected ahead of the vehicle, an avoidance operation determining section for periodically determining the avoidance operation with respect to the obstacle on the basis of steering maneuvers of the driver and an avoidance operation assisting degree calculating section for periodically calculating an avoidance operation assisting degree per based on the avoidance required distance calculated by the avoidance required distance calculating section and the judgment result of the avoidance operation determining section.
