In a related-art resolver, a front and a back of a stator core cannot be distinguished, and it is difficult to mass-produce the resolver while matching directions of shear drops and burrs. Thus, assembly accuracy of the resolver is degraded. Further, productivity and assembling ability are degraded because electromagnetic steel sheets are laminated by rotary lamination. The present invention provides a resolver including: a resolver stator including: a stator core formed of electromagnetic steel sheets, which have teeth, and are laminated without rotary lamination; a one-phase excitation winding; and two-phase output windings; and a resolver rotor arranged to be opposed to the resolver stator, in which the stator core has marks which enable distinction of a rolling direction of the stator core and distinction of a front and a back of the stator core.

Resolver

A liquid crystal display device includes a counter substrate having a glass substrate, a color layer on the glass substrate, an overcoating layer on the color layer, and a counter protrusion and a counter wall protrusion on the overcoating layer. The counter protrusion is located in an image display region. The counter wall protrusion is located in a peripheral region enclosing the image display region. The counter protrusion and the counter wall protrusion are of substantially a same height. A first protrusion distance from the glass substrate to a top of the counter protrusion is shorter than a second protrusion distance from the glass substrate to a top of the counter wall protrusion. According to the liquid crystal display device configured as above, an outer periphery of a display panel does not bend.

A rocker bogie includes a first base which including a first wheel, a second wheel, and a third wheel each of which is configured to be in contact with a first flat surface, a second base including a fourth wheel which is configured to be in contact with the first flat surface, and a rotary shaft connecting the first base and the second base to each other such that the second base is rotatable with respect to the first base. The rotary shaft is parallel to a first straight line which connects a rotation center of the first wheel and a rotation center of the second wheel to each other and is disposed between a rotation center of the third wheel and the first straight line, and the fourth wheel is disposed at an opposite position to the third wheel across the first straight line.

An excitation winding is wound around each tooth of a detecting stator core. First output winding and second output winding are wound around mutually different teeth while avoiding winding of the output windings with the same phase around two teeth adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction. When the number of pole pairs of the excitation winding is M that is an integer equal to or greater than 1 and the number of salient poles of a detecting rotor is N that is an integer equal to or greater than 1, a spatial distribution of the number of turns in each of the first and second output winding is obtained by a function represented by a sine wave of a spatial order |M&#xb1;N|. An error spatial order &#x3b4; represented by |M&#x2212;|M&#xb1;N&#x2225; and an error spatial order &#x3b5; represented by |&#x3b4;&#x2212;M| are values other than 1 and 2.

A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate and a second substrate bonded to each other at their periphery by a sealant, with liquid crystal sealed between the first substrate and a second substrate, and has a display region. The first substrate is formed, between the sealant and an end portion of the display region, with a wall that partitions the liquid crystal into a portion on the display region side and a portion on the sealant side. A gap exists between the tip of the wall and the second substrate side. In the liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal portion that has been contaminated is restrained from moving into the display region.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a first substrate including a display area and a terminal area, a second substrate opposed to the display area, a first sealing member formed between the first and second substrate and surrounding the display area, a second sealing member formed between the first sealing member and a first edge of the second substrate located at the terminal area side, and a first spacer formed between the first and second sealing member and formed at least in contact with the second sealing member. The first spacer includes a first side surface at the second sealing member side and a second side surface at the first sealing member side, and the first side surface at least partly projects toward the first edge.

In one embodiment, a first substrate includes a sub-pixel electrode extending in a first direction, a first main pixel electrode connected with one end of the sub-pixel electrode and extending in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction, and a second main pixel electrode connected with the other end of the sub-pixel electrode and extending in the second direction. A second substrate includes first and second sub-common electrodes arranged on both sides sandwiching the sub-pixel electrode, a first main common electrode connected with the first sub-common electrode and extending along the second direction opposite to the extending direction of the first main pixel electrode on one end side of the sub-pixel electrode, and a second main common electrode connected with the second sub-common electrode and extending along the second direction opposite to the extending direction of the second main pixel electrode on the other end side of the sub-pixel electrode.

A first substrate includes a gate line extending in a first direction and a source line extending in a second direction. A first sub-common electrode is formed on the gate line. A first main-common electrode is formed along the source line so as to be connected with the first sub-common electrode. A second main-common electrode is formed extending in the second direction and facing the source line. The second main-common electrode is set to the same potential as the first main-common electrode. A second substrate includes a third main-common electrode extending in the second direction so as to face the second main-common electrode. The third main-common electrode is set to the same potential as the second main-common electrode. A second sub-common electrode is connected with the third main common electrode. The second sub-common electrode is formed so as to face the first sub-common electrode on the gate line.

In one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate. In the first substrate, gate lines extend in a first direction, and a first source line and a second source line extend in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction. A pixel electrode having a first belt-like main electrode is arranged approximately in a central portion between the first source line and the second source line and extending in the second direction. A first belt-like sub-electrode covers the gate line between the first source line and the second source line and extending in the first direction. The second substrate includes a counter electrode having a second main electrode arranged on the first and second source lines and extending in the second direction. A liquid crystal layer is held between the first substrate and the second substrate.

A compact, light permanent magnet motor with low torque pulsations is obtained by reducing a cogging torque resulting from variations at the end of a rotor, such as an error in attachment position and a variation in magnet characteristic of the permanent magnets. A permanent magnet rotating electrical machine includes a rotor and a stator, a stator core provided with slots in which to store an armature winding wire wound around the teeth, and supplemental grooves provided to the teeth in portions opposing the rotor in an axial direction of the stator core. The supplemental grooves are provided to the stator in a part in the axial direction of the stator core, and that let P be the number of the magnetic poles (the number of poles) and S be the number of the slots (the number of slots), then a relation, 0.75&#x3c;S/P&#x3c;1.5, is established.

Permanent magnet rotating electrical machine and electric power steering apparatus having a stator core with supplemental grooves

In one embodiment, a first substrate is provided with first and second main pixel electrodes electrically connected each other extending along a first direction, respectively. A second substrate includes first to third main common electrodes electrically connected each other extending along the first direction, respectively. The first main pixel electrode is arranged between the first and second main common electrodes, and the second main pixel electrode is arranged between the second and third main common electrodes. Four inter-electrode distances are formed. One of the four inter-electrode distances is set to an optimal inter-electrode distance, and one of the four inter-electrode distances is different from at least one of the other three inter-electrode distances. Herein, the optimal inter-electrode distance is defined as follows: in a range of voltage which is applied between the electrodes, more than 90% of a peak transmissivity is obtained by the optimal inter-electrode distance.
