A lithium ion battery including a cell formed by sequentially stacking a positive current collector, a positive active material layer, a separator, a negative active material layer, and a negative current collector, the lithium ion battery being characterized by including a frame member disposed between the positive current collector and the negative current collector to seal the positive active material layer, the separator, and the negative active material layer, the frame member having, disposed therein, an electronic component for detecting an internal condition of the cell.

Lithium ion battery and method for assessing deterioration of lithium ion battery

A method for manufacturing a battery has a stacking step in which a plurality of unit cells are stacked, the unit cells being such that a positive electrode obtained by a positive electrode active material layer containing an electrolytic solution disposed on a positive electrode current collector, and a negative electrode obtained by a negative electrode active material layer containing an electrolytic solution disposed on a negative electrode current collector with a separator interposed therebetween. In the stacking step, each time one of the unit cells is stacked, the stack of the unit cells are pressed from the stacking direction.

Battery manufacturing method

A cell system includes: a stacked-type cell module () having a plurality of lithium ion unit cells () being stacked and having through holes () formed therein; a gas supply part (); a cooling liquid supply part (); a temperature sensor (); and a control part () that controls switching between a normal control mode and a high-temperature control mode based on a signal from the temperature sensor (). In the normal control mode, the control part () controls the gas supply part () to supply a gas to the through holes (), and at the same time, controls the cooling liquid supply part () to stop supply of a cooling liquid, and in the high-temperature control mode, the control part () controls the cooling liquid supply part () to supply the cooling liquid to the through holes () to which the gas is supplied, and at the same time, controls the gas supply part () to stop supply of the gas. According to this cell system, the increase in temperature of the cell is suppressed while having a simple configuration with a reduced formation region of through holes provided in a lithium ion cell.

Cell system

The battery pack has a laminated body in which unit cells are laminated one on another, a cell case having a first opening and containing the laminated body, and a first lid member to tightly close the first opening. The first opening is positioned to face, in connection with a unit cell laminated direction, a first face of the laminated body. The first lid member is configured to, if an internal pressure of the cell case is lower than atmospheric pressure, deform while keeping the tightly closing state, come into contact with the first face of the laminated body, and apply a pressure based on a differential pressure between atmospheric pressure and the internal pressure of the cell case to the contacting face.

Battery pack

The present disclosure provides a secondary battery module capable of optically transmitting measurement data on characteristics of cells forming a battery pack and further reducing a complicated procedure of wiring. The secondary battery module of the present disclosure includes: a battery pack in which a plurality of cell units are connected, each of the cell units including a cell and a light-emitting unit, the cell including a stacked unit and an electrolyte, the light-emitting unit being configured to measure characteristics of the cell and generate an optical signal according to the characteristics; and an optical waveguide into which an optical signal is introduced from the light-emitting unit of each of the cell units, wherein the number of optical waveguides is less than the number of optical signals, and the optical waveguide provides a common optical path through which optical signals are propagated from the light-emitting units provided in the battery pack.

Secondary battery module

The present invention aims to provide an electrode for lithium ion batteries which exhibits excellent electrical conductivity even if its thickness is large. The electrode for lithium ion batteries of the present invention includes a first main surface to be located adjacent to a separator of a lithium ion battery and a second main surface to be located adjacent to a current collector of the lithium ion battery. The electrode has a thickness of 150 to 5000 &#x3bc;m. The electrode contains, between the first main surface and the second main surface, a conductive member (A) made of an electronically conductive material and a large number of active material particles (B). At least part of the conductive member (A) forms a conductive path that electrically connects the first main surface to the second main surface. The conductive path is in contact with the active material particles (B) around the conductive path.

A laminate type battery includes a power generating element and an outer casing body. The power generating element is formed by electrically laminating in series a plurality of single battery layers in which a single battery layer is formed by sequentially laminating a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer, an electrolyte layer, a negative electrode active material layer, and a negative electrode current collector. The power generating element is disposed inside the outer casing body. At least one of the positive electrode current collector or the negative electrode current collector includes a resin layer having conductivity. The objective of the present invention is to provide an electrode for a lithium ion battery which has excellent electron conductivity even when the thickness of the electrode is increased.
