A vehicle parking assist apparatus acquires and registers first information on a parking lot from a camera image when a vehicle stops by the parking lot. The vehicle parking assist apparatus acquires and registers second information on the parking lot from the camera image when completing parking the vehicle in the parking lot by a parking assist control. The vehicle parking assist apparatus acquires the information on the parking lot as current parking lot information from the camera image when the vehicle stops by the parking lot after registering the first and second parking lot information and executes the parking assist control with realizing a relationship in position between the vehicle and the parking lot by comparing the current parking lot information with the registered parking lot information.

A parking support ECUdetects a parking area based on a camera image acquired by camerasA throughD for photographing a surrounding area of an own vehicle. The ECU displays a parking completed location to superimpose the parking completed location on the parking surrounding area. The parking completed location is a location of the own vehicle when parking to the parking area is completed. In the case where an obstacle having a height equal to or greater than a first threshold height H1th is present in the parking area, the ECU extrapolates, as the parking completed location, a location obtained by moving a normally completed location in an entering direction of the parking area by a specific distance which is determined based on a location of the obstacle. The normally completed location is the parking completed location when no obstacle is present in the parking area.

When each of a right IR projector and a left IR projector has been set to an IR OFF state and a final radiation ON condition becomes satisfied, a PVM-ECU sets each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector to an IR ON state. When each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector has been set to the IR ON state and a final radiation ON condition becomes satisfied, the PVM-ECU sets each of the right IR projector and the left IR projector to the IR ON state.

An inverted two-wheel vehicle includes: an inverted two-wheel vehicle body; an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor which are mounted on the same substrate; and an ECU. The ECU calculates a mounting angle error of the acceleration sensor with respect to the inverted two-wheel vehicle body based on an output value of the acceleration sensor obtained when the inverted two-wheel vehicle is brought into a stationary state in a state where a reference yaw axis of the inverted two-wheel vehicle is made coincident with a vertical direction, and corrects an output value of the gyro sensor by using the mounting angle error of the acceleration sensor with respect to the inverted two-wheel vehicle body as a mounting angle error of the gyro sensor with respect to the inverted two-wheel vehicle body.

Sensor calibration method for vehicle

An inverted vehicle comprises a first sensor that detects an angular speed around an axis inclined from a pitch axis by a first predetermined angle, a second sensor that detects an angular speed around an axis inclined from the pitch axis by a second predetermined angle, a third sensor that detects an angular speed around the pitch axis, an acceleration detection unit that detects accelerations along the axes, and a control unit that performs the inversion control based on the detected angular speeds. A control unit puts a specific safety function in motion based on a mutual relation among a first angular speed around the pitch axis calculated based on the angular speeds detected by the first and second sensors, a second angular speed around the pitch axis detected by the third sensor, and a third angular speed around the pitch axis calculated based on the detected accelerations.
