A light-emitting device includes light-emitting elements connected through a wiring pattern, at least one wire electrically connecting a portion of the wiring pattern to another portion of the wiring pattern, and a reflective member covering a region of the mounting board except for the wiring pattern. The wiring pattern includes wire connection regions at such a distance from each other as to allow the wire to connect the connection regions to each other. The connection regions being used to connect the light-emitting elements in series and/or in parallel by the wire in any one pattern of a plurality of connection patterns with different numbers of series and parallel connections. A plurality of rows of light-emitting elements each constituted of part of the light-emitting elements are disposed on the wiring pattern. The wiring pattern includes an extending portion provided outside of the rows and not provided between the rows.

Light-emitting device

A light emitting device includes a substrate, a plurality of light emitting elements disposed in a light-emitting region on the substrate, at least one first wiring part surrounding the light-emitting region, at least one second wiring part, together with the at least one first wiring part, demarcating the light-emitting region into a plurality of demarcated regions, a first wall formed along and covering the at least one first wiring part to surround the light-emitting region, at least one second wall formed along and covering corresponding one or more of the at least one second wiring part, and a light-transmissive member containing a wavelength converting material, covering an entire light-emitting region.

Light emitting device and method of manufacturing the light emitting device

A light emitting device includes a mount board that includes a wiring pattern on an upper surface, and light emitting elements that are mounted at corresponding one of mounting positions on the wiring pattern to be connected in series and/or in parallel to each other through the wiring pattern. The light emitting elements each include a pair of electrodes on a back surface side thereof. The mounting positions include four or more connection terminals that are electrically separated from each other to connect the electrodes of their corresponding light emitting element to each other. Series connection and parallel connection numbers are determined in accordance with orientations of the light emitting elements in which each electrode straddles at least adjacent two of the four or more connection terminals that are spaced away from and adjacent to each other.

Light emitting device

A light emitting device includes a first light emitting element having a top face and a bottom face which faces the base, and a second light emitting element. A wavelength conversion member is provided on the top face and includes a light transmitting part made of an inorganic material and a phosphor layer. The light transmitting part has an upper face and a lower face. A phosphor layer is disposed between the lower face and the top face. The phosphor layer is bonded to the top face of the first light emitting element. The reflecting member covers the lateral faces of the phosphor layer. A light transmissive sealing resin is disposed on the base between the first and second light emitting elements and between the wavelength conversion member and the second light emitting element. The light transmissive sealing resin covers the lateral faces via the reflecting member.

Light emitting device with enhanced color mixing quality

A light-emitting device holder is configured to fix a light-emitting device to a mounting object. The light-emitting device includes a substrate, a light-emitting element, and a pad. The light-emitting device holder includes a holder main body, a terminal and an insulating member. The holder main body defines an opening at a position corresponding to the light-emitting element in a fixed state after the light-emitting device is fixed to the mounting object by the light-emitting device holder. The terminal is attached to the holder main body, and configured to be in contact with the pad in the fixed state. The insulating member is attached to the holder main body, and configured to be in contact with at least a region of the surface of the substrate between the pad and a portion of an edge of the substrate that is closest to the pad in the fixed state.

A light-emitting device comprising: a base member; a plurality of first light-emitting elements disposed on the base member; a plurality of second light-emitting elements disposed on the base member; a plurality of first wavelength conversion members; and a second wavelength conversion member. The first wavelength conversion members are respectively disposed on or above the first light-emitting elements. The first wavelength conversion members each comprises a light-transmissive body mainly containing an inorganic material, and a first phosphor layer on the lower surface of the light-transmissive body. The second wavelength conversion member is disposed on the base member to cover the second light-emitting elements and the first wavelength conversion members. The second wavelength conversion member comprises an encapsulating resin and second phosphor.

A light emitting device including a supporting body; first wirings formed on a surface of the supporting body; second wirings formed on the surface of the supporting body; a plurality of first light emitting elements, which are flip-chip mounted on respective ones of the first wirings and are electrically connected to each other by the first wirings; and a second light emitting element electrically connected to at least one of the second wirings. The second light emitting element is disposed on at least one of the first wirings at a location between at least two of the electrically-connected first light emitting elements, without being electrically connected to said at least one of the first wirings.

A light emitting device includes a substrate; a first frame located on the substrate; a second frame located on the substrate, the second frame being located inward of and spaced apart from the first frame; at least one first light emitting element located on the substrate in a first region located between the first frame and the second frame; at least one second light emitting element located on the substrate in a second region located inward of the second frame; and a sealing member covering the at least one first light emitting element and the at least one second light emitting element. The second frame includes a light-transmissive portion. A highest portion of the second frame is higher than a highest portion of the first frame.

A light emitting device includes: a base member; and a plurality of light emitting elements mounted on the base member. The plurality of light emitting elements includes: at least one first light emitting element having a side surface uncovered by a light reflective member; and at least one second light emitting element having a side surface covered by the light reflective member.

A light emitting device includes a substrate, conductive members, and first and second light emitting elements. The conductive members have first to fourth lands and a linking portion linking the second and third lands. An outer edge of the first land is positioned to the inside of a point at which an extension of a side facing the second land and an extension of a side facing the third land intersect. An outer edge of the fourth land is positioned to the inside of a point at which an extension of a side facing the second land and an extension of a side facing the third land intersect. The first light emitting element has electrodes connected to the first and second lands, and the second light emitting element has electrodes connected to the third and fourth lands.

Light emitting device, and substrate for light emitting device

A method of manufacturing a light emitting device includes providing an insulating substrate having an electrically conductive member on a surface of the insulating substrate; after providing the insulating substrate, covering the electrically conductive member with a reflecting member by using electrodeposition or electrostatic coating; after covering the electrically conductive member with the reflecting member, insulating a portion of the electrically conductive member to form an insulating member; and singulating the substrate by cutting the substrate to form a plurality of singulated substrates, wherein the substrate is singulated such that, in each singulated substrate, the electrically conductive member is spaced apart from end portions of the singulated substrate.

Method of manufacturing light emitting device

The light emitting device is provided with a substrate, semiconductor light emitting elements mounted on the substrate, a mold frame that surrounds the periphery of the light emitting elements on the substrate, and resin layers that fill the inside of the mold frame. The mold frame includes a first mold frame, and a second mold frame formed on top of the first mold frame. The resin layers include a first resin layer that embeds the light emitting elements in resin and is formed with a height approximately equal to the height of the top of the first mold frame, and a second resin layer on top of the first resin layer that is formed with a height approximately equal to the height of the top of the second mold frame. At least one of the resin layers (which are the first resin layer and the second resin layer) includes wavelength-shifting material to change the wavelength of light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting elements.
