A steering device includes a steering shaft, a motor, a stopper mechanism, and a controller. The controller is configured to execute a first process and a second process when a determined condition is established. The first process includes causing the steering wheel to operate to a first operation end through control of the motor and thereafter operate in reverse to a second operation end. The second process includes computing a neutral position of the steering wheel based on a rotational angle of the motor at a time when reverse operation of the steering wheel is started and at a time when the reverse operation of the steering wheel is ended.

Steering device

A steering control device calculates a target angle of a shaft that rotates in conjunction with a turning operation of a turning wheel that is isolated from dynamic power transmission with a steering wheel, depending on a steering state of the steering wheel, and executes a feedback control to cause an actual angle to follow the target angle, for controlling electricity supply to a turning motor to turn the turning wheel, the steering control device including: a first processing unit to execute a process to alter the target angle independently of the steering state of the steering wheel; and a second processing unit to calculate a turning state amount for a guide monitor function to assist traveling of a vehicle, by reducing or removing an influence of an alteration of the target angle on the actual angle of the shaft.

Steering control device

A steering system includes a steering operation shaft in which power transmission to and from a steering wheel is disabled and that steers a steered wheel of a vehicle, a steering operation motor that generates a steering operation force that is a torque applied to the steering operation shaft so as to steer the steered wheel, and a control device that controls the steering operation motor. When a rotation position of the steering wheel is different from a rotation position corresponding to a steered position of the steered wheel, the control device executes a process for correcting the steered position of the steered wheel to a position corresponding to the rotation position of the steering wheel through the steering operation motor.

Steering system

A steering control device includes an electronic control unit configured to calculate a target reaction torque that is a target value of a steering reaction force that is a force against steering input to a steering unit and to control operation of a steering-side motor provided in the steering unit such that a motor torque corresponding to the target reaction torque is generated. The electronic control unit is configured to calculate an angle axial force, as an axial component based on an axial force acting on a turning shaft that operates to turn turning wheels, the angle axial force being an axial force in which road-surface information is not reflected, and the angle axial force being determined according to an angle convertible to a turning angle of the turning wheels. The electronic control unit is configured to perform a guard process such that the angle axial force is not excessive.

A steering control device includes a control unit configured to perform a calculation based on angle information and to control the operation of a turning section based on a turning control amount. The angle information is obtained by relating the turning control amount for operating the turning section to a steering angle that is an angle by which a steering wheel is steered. The control unit includes a speed increase ratio calculation unit configured to calculate a speed increase ratio based on state variables, and an angle information calculation unit configured to calculate the angle information by converting the steering angle using the speed increase ratio obtained by the speed increase ratio calculation unit.

A steering control device includes a target torque generator configured to generate a target torque which is a target value of the motor torque and a control signal generator configured to generate a control signal for controlling the motor such that the motor torque corresponding to the target torque is generated. The target torque generator includes a pre-adjustment axial force calculator, a first axial force calculator, a second axial force calculator, a post-adjustment axial force calculator, and a target torque calculator. The post-adjustment axial force calculator is configured to set a proportion of a first axial force contributing to a post-adjustment axial force to be smaller when a state of a vehicle speed is abnormal than when the state of the vehicle speed is normal.

Steering control device and steering system

A steering system includes a steering shaft that rotates along with an operation of a steering wheel; a motor configured to generate a torque that is applied to the steering shaft; and a control unit configured to control the motor. The control unit is configured to control the motor such that a rotation speed of the steering wheel decreases gradually to zero when automatic rotation of the steering wheel is stopped, in a case where the steering wheel is automatically rotated as an adjustment process of adjusting a rotational position of the steering wheel.

A steering system includes a steering shaft; a motor configured to generate a torque applied to the steering shaft; and a control unit configured to control the motor. The control unit has a function of performing steering angle feedback control for causing a steering angle that is a rotation angle of a steering wheel to reach a target steering angle that is set based on a point of view of adjusting a rotational position of the steering wheel, as an adjustment process of adjusting the rotational position of the steering wheel. The control unit is configured to set a limit value for limiting a change range of the target steering angle with respect to the steering angle at each moment in a period in which automatic rotation of the steering wheel is hindered in a case where the automatic rotation is hindered while the adjustment process is being performed.

A steering system includes a steering shaft; a reaction motor; and a control unit configured to control the reaction motor. The control unit has a function of performing a correction process of rotating the steering wheel using the reaction motor such that a displacement in a rotational position of the steering wheel with respect to a correct rotational position corresponding to a turning position of the turning wheels decreases when a power supply of the vehicle is turned on and the rotational position of the steering wheel is different from the correct rotational position. The control unit is configured to perform the correction process when the displacement is equal to or greater than a predetermined permissible value and not to perform the correction process when the displacement is less than the permissible value.

A steering device includes: a mechanism configured to turn turning wheels of a vehicle; a motor configured to generate drive force that is applied to the mechanism; and a controller configured to control the motor in accordance with a steering state. The controller includes a determination circuit configured to determine whether or not one of the turning wheels is in contact with an obstacle based on at least a value of electric current that is supplied to the motor and a vehicle speed. The controller is configured to, when one of the turning wheels is in contact with the obstacle, notify a driver that one of the turning wheels is in contact with the obstacle.

A steering control device includes control circuitry configured to perform synchronization control. The synchronization control includes a target synchronization angle calculating process of calculating a target synchronization angle that is a steering-side rotation angle satisfying a predetermined correspondence relationship with respect to a turning-side rotation angle; a target relay angle calculating process of calculating a target relay angle that is located closer to a first side in a circumferential direction than a first-side angle is, the first-side angle being one of the steering-side rotation angle and the target synchronization angle and being located closer to the first side than another of the steering-side rotation angle and the target synchronization angle is; and a motor driving process of operating a steering-side motor such that the steering-side rotation angle reaches the target synchronization angle after operating the steering-side motor such that the steering-side rotation angle reaches the target relay angle.

A steering control device for a steering system includes an electronic control unit configured to: calculate target torque that is a target value of the motor torque; control operation of the motor; calculate a vehicle speed basic axial force based on a detected vehicle speed; calculate another state quantity basic axial force based on a state quantity other than the detected vehicle speed; calculate a distributed axial force by adding the vehicle speed basic axial force and the other state quantity basic axial force at individually set distribution ratios; calculate the target torque based on the distributed axial force; and reduce the distribution ratio of the vehicle speed basic axial force when the detected vehicle speed is abnormal as compared to when the detected vehicle speed is normal.

Steering control device and method for controlling steering system

In a controller for a steering device, the steering device includes a structure where motive power transmission between a steering unit and a turning unit is separated. The controller includes a control circuit configured to control operation of a steering-side motor that is provided in the steering unit to give steering reaction force that is force against the steering input into the steering unit. In a case where turning of the turning wheels to one direction is restricted, the control circuit is configured to calculate restriction reaction force for restricting steering that is to turn the turning wheels to the one direction. The control circuit is configured to calculate the restriction reaction force based on information on the steering unit.

Controller for steering device

A steering system includes a mechanism configured to turn a steer wheel of a vehicle, a motor configured to generate driving force that is applied to the mechanism, and a controller configured to control the motor according to a steering status. The controller includes a limiting control circuit configured to limit a current that is supplied to the motor to a limiting value, a determining circuit configured to determine whether the steer wheel is in contact with an obstacle by using at least a comparison between a value of the current that is supplied to the motor and a threshold, and a threshold computing circuit configured to compute the threshold that is used by the determining circuit, the threshold computing circuit being configured to compute a value less than the limiting value according to the limiting value as the threshold.
