A recording apparatus includes a supply portion for supplying an airflow, a blowing port that is formed in a slit-like form following a width direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of a discharged medium, for blowing out the airflow supplied from the supply portion, the blowing port being formed with a channel, through which the airflow flows, extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to a conveyance region of the discharged medium, from an inlet side at which the airflow is introduced, to an outlet side, and a supporting member provided on the inlet side of the blowing port to support opposing wall faces of the blowing port, while allowing passage of the airflow. The blowing port has a narrow portion that partially narrows a width of the channel, father on the outlet side than the supporting member of the wall faces forming the channel.

Recording apparatus

A recording device includes a recording head, a conveyance portion that conveys a liquid-ejected medium so that the liquid-ejected medium passes through a position facing the recording head, a supply portion for air, and an air blowing mechanism that is disposed on an upstream side of the recording head in a relative moving direction between the recording head and the liquid-ejected medium, the air blowing mechanism including an air blow-out port for blowing out air from the supply portion toward a gap between the recording head and the liquid-ejected medium. The air blow-out port includes a plurality of slits that are lined up in a direction intersecting the relative moving direction, and the plurality of slits are lined up in the direction intersecting the relative moving direction so that long sides of the adjacent slits have regions facing each other in a direction orthogonal to the long sides.

Recording device

A discharge apparatus includes a discharge unit configured to discharge a liquid to a medium, a suction unit, and a supply unit configured to supply a gas to the suction unit. The suction unit includes an opening facing the medium, and a suction groove including an arc-shaped inner wall surface inside the opening and configured to suck mist around the medium. An outlet portion configured to blow out the gas supplied from the supply unit toward the inner wall surface is provided in the opening.

Discharge apparatus and suction unit

A platen includes: a supporting portion that can support a sheet; a suction unit that sucks the sheet in such a manner as to attach the sheet to the supporting portion; a first ink receiver that receives ink ejected downstream of the leading end of the sheet passing the supporting portion; and a second ink receiver that receives ink ejected upstream of the trailing end of the sheet passing the supporting portion.

Printing apparatus and platen

A collection unit configured to collect ink mist generated due to a discharge of ink from a head configured to discharge the ink includes a filter for capturing the ink mist and a liquid supply portion configured to supply a liquid to the filter.

Inkjet apparatus and collection apparatus

A blowout port for gas is efficiently configured without impairing mist collection performance. Two blowout ports for gas are adjacent to each other by interposing a partition. An end of the partition is provided at a position near a deep side of the two blowout ports relative to ends of the two blowout ports so as to form a step.

Mist collection apparatus and liquid ejection apparatus

A printing apparatus according to the present invention includes a plurality of ejection heads for ejecting liquid and a plurality of mist collection units configured to collect mist generated by the ejection heads that are disposed along a medium conveyance direction. The plurality of mist collection units include a first mist collection unit. The first mist collection unit is provided to be inclined to the upstream side of a medium conveyance direction with regard to a perpendicular line perpendicular to a floor. The first mist collection unit has a liquid retention part disposed at the upstream side than an ink mist suction hole.

Printing apparatus

A platen disposed at a position at which the platen faces a printing head includes a contact portion that comes into contact with a recording medium, a non-contact portion that does not come into contact with the recording medium, and an ink receiving portion that receives ink ejected to beyond the recording medium. A recessed portion is formed between the ink receiving portion and the contact portion in the width direction of the recording medium so as to be lower than the contact portion in the vertical direction. A supply portion that supplies air to the recessed portion is formed upstream of the recessed portion in the conveyance direction of the recording medium.

Image printing apparatus

An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet printing apparatus that can alleviate an adverse influence by ink mist or airflow turbulence with an inexpensive and small-sized configuration without using power. A printing unit includes a first opening that is parallel to a main scanning direction and is formed at a first surface facing a space defined between an ejection port surface having ejection ports formed thereat and a print medium and a second opening formed at a second surface that is parallel to the main scanning direction and different from the first surface. The first opening and the second opening communicate with each other via a first communication path. The first opening and the second opening are formed in different pressure regions, respectively, in which pressures different from each other are produced when the printing unit is moved in the main scanning direction.

Printing apparatus and head cartridge

An inkjet apparatus includes, a carriage, mounting a head that discharges ink, configured to reciprocally move with respect to a sheet that receives the ink, a sensor unit, attached to the carriage, configured to read information from the sheet, and a rectifying skirt, attached to the carriage, having a rectifying surface that faces the sheet. The sensor unit is disposed above the rectifying skirt.

Inkjet apparatus

A platen disposed so as to face a printing head includes a third support portion. A second suction hole is formed in an area through which a recording medium passes at least beyond the third support portion in the width direction of the recording medium or downstream of the third support portion in the conveyance direction. A supply port is formed between the third support portion and the second suction hole. Air is sucked into the second suction hole and supplied toward the recording medium through the supply port.

Adhesion of particles to a liquid ejecting head due to an electric field generated at an electric power supply wire disposed in the liquid ejecting head can be suppressed. The liquid ejecting head is provided with a conductive member covering at least a part of the electric power supply wire for supplying electric power to an ejection energy generating unit configured to generate ejection energy for ejecting liquid, with an insulator therebetween. The conductive member covers the electric power supply wire in a coverage determined based on a relative movement speed between an ejection port and a print medium, a size of particles floating between an ejection port forming surface and the print medium, an electric charge amount of the particles, and a voltage applied to the electric power supply wire.

Liquid ejecting head

There is provided a liquid ejecting apparatus and a liquid ejecting head in which mist does not close an ejection port so as to prevent any degradation of the reliability of ejection. In view of this, a ceiling surface is formed between a mist recovering unit and a gas blowing unit in a mist recovering mechanism, thus forming a recess. Inside of the recess are formed a suction port of the mist recovering unit and a gas blowing port of the gas blowing unit.

Liquid ejecting apparatus and liquid ejecting head

A printing device includes: a head that ejects an ink on a medium to perform printing; and a mist collection mechanism having: a suction port facing the medium and sucking air near the head; an exhaust port discharging the sucked air; and an airflow path between the suction port and the exhaust port, wherein the airflow path includes a first spatial region located on a side of the suction port, and a second spatial region located on a side of the exhaust port and adjacent to the first spatial region through a communicating port having an opening area smaller than that of the suction port.
