A pad axle for a brake caliper comprises an axle body and a support body. The axle body includes a first mounting part and a second mounting part and extends along a longitudinal axis between the first mounting part and the second mounting part. Both of the first mounting part and the second mounting part are configured to be coupled to a caliper body of the brake caliper. The support body is a different member from the axle body and is attached to the axle body to movably support a brake pad of the brake caliper relative to the caliper body. The support body is provided between the first mounting part and the second mounting part of the axle body. The support body is made of a non-metallic material.

Pad axle and brake caliper

A brake pad for a bicycle includes a friction member and a support plate. The friction member configured to contact a disc in a state in which the brake pad is installed in a caliper on the bicycle. The support plate supports the friction member and includes a mounting hole. The mounting hole has a first dimension in a first direction parallel to a radial direction of the disc in a state in which the brake pad is installed in the caliper on the bicycle. The mounting hole has a second dimension in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and the second dimension is larger than the first dimension.

Brake pad for a bicycle

A brake caliper for a bicycle includes a housing configured to be installed on the bicycle, the bicycle including a disc attached to a wheel of the bicycle. A brake pad is installed within the housing and is configured to move between a braking position and a non-braking position. The braking position is a location within the housing where the brake pad contacts the disc when the housing is installed on the bicycle. The non-braking position is a location within the housing where the brake pad is further from the disc than in the braking position. The caliper also includes a biasing member configured to bias the brake pad in a downstream direction within the housing with the brake pad is in the non-braking position, the downstream direction being parallel to a direction of rotation of the disc when a wheel of the bicycle is rotating to move the bicycle forward.

Brake caliper for a bicycle

A hydraulic device comprises a base member, a piston, a seal ring, and an intermediate member. The base member includes a cylinder bore and an annular groove. The annular groove includes a first inner surface and a second inner surface. The piston is movable relative to the base member from a rest position toward an actuated position in a second direction opposite to a first direction. The piston is movable relative to the base member from the actuated position toward the rest position in the first direction. The seal ring includes a first axial surface facing in the first direction and a second axial surface facing in the second direction. The seal ring is provided in the annular groove so as to define a clearance between the first axial surface and the first inner surface. The intermediate member is provided in the clearance.

Hydraulic device for human-powered vehicle

A disc brake rotor comprises a hub engagement member, a friction member, a first member, and a second member. The hub engagement member is configured to engage with a hub assembly. The friction member is provided radially outwardly of the hub engagement member with respect to a rotational center axis of the disc brake rotor. The friction member has an axial thickness in an axial direction with respect to the rotational center axis. The first member extends between the hub engagement member and the friction member. The first member includes a recess that has an axial depth in the axial direction. The axial depth is larger than the axial thickness of the friction member. The second member is at least partly provided on the recess without using a screw connection.

Disc brake rotor

A disc brake rotor for a small vehicle including a bicycle has an inner member configured to be coupled to a wheel of the small vehicle and an outer member outwardly provided with respect to the inner member in a radial direction of disc brake rotor. The outer member includes a brake surface, a pair of first through holes extending through the brake surface in an axial direction of the disc brake rotor, and a recess provided in the brake surface so as to be recessed in the axial direction at least between the pair of the first through holes.

A bicycle disc brake rotor comprises a friction member, a cooling member, and a hub attachment member. The friction member includes at least one friction surface. The cooling member is coupled to the friction member. The cooling member includes at least one cooling surface. A surface area of the at least one cooling surface is equal to or larger than 110% of a surface area of the at least one friction surface. The hub attachment member is coupled to the friction member. The hub attachment member includes a hub engagement structure to engage with a bicycle hub assembly.

Bicycle disc brake rotor

A bicycle disc brake rotor including a center rotational axis is provided with an outer member including a braking portion extending in a rotation direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor and an inner member located at an inner side of the outer member in a radial direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor and coupled to the outer member. At least one of the outer member and the inner member includes a displacement reducing structure configured to reduce displacement of the braking portion in an axial direction of the bicycle disc brake rotor.

A bicycle disc brake rotor, having a rotational center axis, comprises an outer portion having plural layers including first and second braking surfaces in opposite axial directions. The plural layers include a first layer made of a copper or a copper alloy.

The second inner peripheral edge is provided radially inward of the first inner peripheral edge with respect to a rotational center axis of the bicycle disc brake rotor. The radially outer part is provided radially outward of the cooling body. The second inner peripheral edge is offset from the radially outer part in an axial direction parallel to the rotational center axis of the bicycle disc brake rotor.

A bicycle disc brake rotor having a rotational center axis is provided including an outer portion and an inner portion. The outer portion includes a first member having a first thermal conductivity and a second member having a second thermal conductivity that is higher than the first thermal conductivity. The second member is attached to the first member. The inner portion is disposed radially inwardly from the outer portion with respect to the rotational center axis. The inner portion is a separate member from the first and second members. The inner portion is attached to or contacts the second member of the outer portion.
