In a driving assist apparatus, front side object information that is information about a front side object existing in front of a self-vehicle and front lateral side object information that is information about a front lateral side object existing in a lateral side with respect to a running direction of the self-vehicle are acquired, and a moving course of the front lateral side object is judged to be a grade separation course which is away from a moving course of the self-vehicle in a vertical direction and does not intersect with the moving course of the self-vehicle course and the front lateral side object is not judged to be a collision risk object when a positional relation between the front side object and the front lateral side object fulfills a predetermined condition, based on the front side object information and the front lateral side object information.

An ECU of a vehicle control apparatus obtains, using a frontward PVM camera, front side target object information that includes information on a target object that is located in a blind angle detection area lateral to and outside of a target object detection area of a frontward camera. The ECU specifies, based on the front side target object information, a kind and a moving state of a blind angle target object, and determines a front side obstacle area based on the kind and moving state of the blind angle target object. When the ECU determines that a target object whose kind and moving state coincide with the kind and the moving state, respectively, to which the front side obstacle area corresponds is located in the front side obstacle area, the ECU decreases a driving force to suppress a start of moving of the host vehicle.

A vehicle driving assistance apparatus executes a driving assistance control which provides a driver of an own vehicle with a driving assistance when a predetermined execution condition becomes satisfied. The apparatus performs an assistance delay function and a positive assistance function. The assistance delay function is a function to change the predetermined execution condition such that a timing of starting to execute the driving assistance control is later than a base timing. A moving body detection system detects a moving body that is present in a blind spot of a driver of a host vehicle. A main control device of the moving body detection system executes a first terminal signal acquisition process for acquiring, as a first terminal signal, a signal that a reception device has received from a first terminal control device. When the first terminal signal is acquired by the process, the main control device determines whether a blind-spot condition that a moving body is present in the blind spot is met based on the acquired first terminal signal. The main control device executes the process on a first cycle when it is determined that the condition is not met, and executes the process on a second cycle that is shorter than the first cycle when it is determined that the condition is met.
