A sensing apparatus is configured to measure a target person without being attached to the target person, and is configured to generate information associated with the target person from outputs of at least a part of sensors of a plurality of sensors that are different from each other in at least one of a sensor type and location. The sensing apparatus is provided with: a specifier configured to specify at least one of clothes and physical features of the target person from images obtained by imaging the target person; and a determinator configured to determine one or a plurality of sensors, which are the at least the part of sensors, from the plurality of sensors, on the basis of the specified at least one of the clothes and the physical features.

Sensing apparatus

A side airbag of a far side airbag device includes a rear inflation section that inflates and deploys on being supplied with gas and restrains at least rear portions of the chest and abdominal regions of a seated occupant, and a front inflation section that inflates and deploys by being supplied with gas through a through hole formed at a boundary between the rear inflation section and the front inflation section to restrain at least front portions of the chest and abdominal regions of the seated occupant. The far side airbag device includes a tension member that, on receiving tension and adopting a deployed state accompanying inflation and deployment of the side airbag, has a front end side connected to the rear inflation section, and a rear end side connected to a seatback frame.

Side airbag device

A vehicle seat provided with a side airbag device including: a side airbag that is stored within a side portion of a seat back, and that receives gas supplied from an inflator so as to inflate and deploy at a side of a seated vehicle occupant; seat back upholstery that forms upholstery for the seat back, and in which a burst line portion, which is a seam portion, ruptures when it receives inflation pressure from the side airbag, and in which a three-way junction is formed in a seam portion as a result of a seam portion that branches off from the burst line portion being provided; and reinforcement fabric that is joined to both a portion of the burst line portion that bridges an intersection point of the three-way junction and a seat back frame, and that stretches when it receives inflation pressure from the side airbag.

Vehicle seat having a side airbag device

A vehicle side airbag device includes a side airbag, an inner tether that extends in the seat forward direction at the seat width direction inner side of the side airbag in the inflated and deployed state and has a distal end portion anchored to the side airbag, and an outer tether that extends outward in the seat width direction from the seat rear side of the side airbag in the inflated and deployed state and has a distal end portion anchored to the side airbag. An upper end portion of the distal end portion of the outer tether is positioned further toward an upper end side of the side airbag than an upper end portion of the distal end portion of the inner tether.

Vehicle side airbag device

A far side airbag device for a vehicle includes: an inflator disposed within a side support portion at a vehicle transverse direction central side of a seat back; an airbag that is stored within the side support portion, that receives a supply of gas from the inflator, and that expands and deploys while rupturing a planned rupture portion installed at the side support portion; and a partitioning portion partitioning the airbag into a main chamber and a chamber for rupturing that is provided at a rear side and a lower side of the main chamber. At least a lower end side region of the chamber for rupturing, in an expanded and deployed state, protrudes further toward a vehicle front side than the planned rupture portion. Communication ports communicating the respective chambers with one another are formed at an upper end side and a lower end side of the partitioning portion.

Far side airbag device for vehicle

A far side airbag device of the present invention includes a side airbag, that inflates and deploys on being supplied with gas, housed in a folded state inside a side section of a seatback of a seat, at a side of a center console disposed adjacent to the seat in a vehicle width direction. A lower end portion of the side airbag is positioned further to a vehicle up-down direction lower side than an upper face of the center console.

Far side airbag device

A rear seat side airbag device comprising: a case that is disposed at a vehicle width direction outer-side of a seatback of a rear seat and configured including, in vehicle plan view, a bottom wall extending along a vehicle width direction and a pair of side walls extending toward a vehicle front from respective vehicle width direction end portions of the bottom wall, one of the side walls being formed with a shorter vehicle front-rear direction length than the other of the side walls; and an airbag module that is housed in the case and configured including a side airbag and an inflator, the inflator supplying gas to the side airbag and including a stud bolt projecting out in a vehicle width direction and fastened to the one side wall or the other side wall by the stud bolt.

Rear seat side airbag device

A side airbag device-installed vehicle seat including: a side frame; a side airbag main body that is partitioned into a front bag section and a rear bag section, and in which a front portion of the rear bag section is positioned further toward the seat front side than the front flange portion at least in an inflated and deployed state; and an inner bag section that extends out from the front portion of the rear bag section, past a seat front of the front flange portion, and to a seat width direction inner side of the side frame, and in which an internal portion of the inner bag section in communication with the inside of the front portion of the rear bag section is supplied with gas from the inflator and inflates within the side section.

Side airbag device-installed vehicle seat

Influence from a rear bag section is prevented or suppressed from being applied to an occupant out of position. In a state in which a side airbag inflates and deploys frontward of a side support section of a seat back, a front-rear partition cloth that partitions a bag body into a front bag section and a rear bag section brings an intermediate portion in a vehicle width direction of a front surface of the rear bag section to be recessed toward a vehicle rearward direction so as to be a valley-shaped recessed portion. Through this, even if the side airbag inflates and deploys while the occupant is located frontward of the side support section, it is possible to prevent or suppress influence from the rear bag section to this occupant.

Vehicle side airbag device and vehicle seat

A rear seat side-airbag device of the technology of the present disclosure includes: a side airbag that is disposed between a side garnish and a body, the side garnish being disposed at a vehicle width direction outer-side of a seat back of a rear seat, the side airbag becoming deployed on the side of an occupant; and an airbag door garnish that covers the side airbag from a cabin side and is disposed at a position where at least part of a boundary section between the airbag door garnish and the side garnish is covered from the cabin side by webbing in an unworn state.

Rear seat side-airbag device

A far side airbag device and a vehicle seat with which, in a structure in which an armrest is connected to a region at a vehicle width direction middle side of a seatback, a portion of an airbag may be inflated and expanded between the armrest and an occupant. In a far side airbag device, a side airbag is disposed between a side frame and a proximal end of an armrest at a vehicle width direction middle side of a seatback. A distal end of the armrest projects forward from the seatback and the proximal end of the armrest is connected to the side frame. In the inflated and expanded state, a vertical direction portion of the side airbag overlaps with the armrest in side view. In the folded state, a vertical direction portion of the side airbag overlaps with the armrest in side view.

Far side airbag device and vehicle seat

A vehicle curtain airbag device has a curtain airbag. The curtain airbag is configured such that: a front end side is Z-folded toward a vehicle width direction inner side, the curtain airbag is further folded top-to-bottom, and, in the stowed state, a front end portion at the Z-folded region is covered by a rear end portion of a front pillar garnish; a corner portion at a front end side and an upper end side of the front side sub chamber is formed in a circular arc shape; and in a mid-deployment state, a front end side and an upper end side of the Z-folded region are covered, the corner portion overlaps a vehicle width direction outer side of the rear end portion, and a rear end of the corner portion is positioned further to a vehicle rear side than a rear end of the front pillar garnish.

Vehicle curtain airbag device

In the side airbag device, in an inflation and deployment state of the side airbag, a tension cloth extendingly disposed across between a front-rear partition and a rear end of the rear bag section is stretched, thereby restricting inflation in the vehicle front-rear direction of the rear bag section. An inflating width in a vehicle width direction of the rear bag section can be increased without significantly changing a position in the vehicle front-rear direction of the front-rear partition. In a flat developed state of the side airbag, the tension cloth is extendingly disposed across between the front-rear partition so folded into two as to protrude toward the rear bag section, and the rear end of the rear bag section. Accordingly, dimensions of each component can be so defined as to cause no redundancy in the rear bag section in the flat developed state, thus compactly folding the side airbag.

Side airbag device for vehicle

A far side airbag device comprising: a side airbag provided at a side section on a vehicle center side of a seatback, the side airbag comprising a rear inflation section and a front inflation section that inflates and deploys when supplied with gas through a communication path formed at a boundary with the rear inflation section; a fixing structure that fixes the side airbag to a seatback frame at the rear inflation section; and a tension cloth that receives tension and deploys accompanying inflation and deployment of the side airbag, wherein a vehicle front-rear direction front end side of the tension cloth is connected to the side airbag and a rear end side of the tension cloth is connected to the seatback frame, and in a deployed state, the tension cloth covers at least a portion of the rear inflation section as viewed from a side of the seatback.

There is provided a side airbag device for a rear seat, the side airbag including (i) a side airbag that is provided between a vehicle body and a side portion of a seatback of a rear seat, and at least a portion of the side airbag is disposed further toward a vehicle lower side than a top surface of an armrest, and the side airbag is expanded at a side of a passenger at a time of a collision, and (ii) an airbag door garnish that covers the side airbag from a vehicle cabin side, and that has a door portion that, due to inflation pressure of the side airbag, opens toward a vehicle front side and a vehicle transverse direction outer side and abuts the armrest.
