A vehicle seat includes a first webbing provided in a side portion of a seat back, and a second webbing provided in the side portion of the seat back so as to overlap the first webbing from outside. The first webbing and the second webbing form a bag portion that opens downward, which houses a side airbag device. The bag portion includes a webbing seam portion in which edge portions of the first webbing and the second webbing are sewn together. In a skin seam portion in which skins of a seat back skin constituting skin of the seat back are sewn together, the webbing seam portion is sewn together with the skins, in a state in which the first webbing overlaps one of the skins and the second webbing overlaps the other of the skins.

Vehicle seat

An airbag, wherein gas is appropriately discharged from a vent hole by preventing a vent hole cover from being positionally displaced relative to the vent hole. An airbag () is provided with a cover guide member () which allows a vent hole cover () to move at a predetermined bag inner pressure to open a vent hole (). The cover guide member has an opening () formed at a position corresponding to the vent hole.

Airbag and method of manufacturing same

An air bag system for a vehicle including an air bag in a folded state and installed in a vehicle. The air bag is inflated and expanded by gas from an inflator, which introduces gas into the air bag. A vent hole is formed in at least one base fabric piece of the air bag so as to establish a communication path between an inside and an outside of the air bag through which gas may be discharged from the inside toward the outside of the air bag. A blocking member is supported on the base fabric piece to block up the vent hole. A guide portion is provided to slidably support the blocking member and to restrict the position of the blocking member relative to the vent hole. A sliding resistance increasing portion is provided on at least either one of the guide portion and the blocking member, so as to increase a sliding resistance between the guide portion and the blocking member when the blocking member slides.

Air bag system for vehicle

An airbag apparatus includes an air bag, the airbag including an inflator opening, a vent hole provided at a side of the inflator opening, and a vent hole cover which closes the vent hole, wherein the vent hole cover has a strip-shaped closure part which covers the vent hole, and an extending part which extends towards the inflator opening from a longitudinal intermediate part of the closure part, and both ends of the closure part are joined to the airbag at rupture joining parts which are configured to rupture at the time of deployment of the airbag.

Airbag apparatus

An airbag apparatus including: an airbag; a vent hole; a plurality of rupture joining parts which join the base fabric pieces in a manner breakable by the high-pressure gas expansion; and a vent hole cover having a connecting part at which the vent hole cover is connected to the airbag by the rupture joining parts, wherein: the airbag has an outer expansion part provided at a position outside the finishing-ends of the rupture joining parts; the plurality of rupture joining parts are rotationally symmetric to each other about the center of the base fabric pieces, and partially overlap each other in the circumferential direction; and the connecting part of the vent hole cover is provided in the vicinity of a middle position of the two finishing-ends of an adjacent pair of the rupture joining parts.
