A printing apparatus includes a conveying unit which conveys a printing medium in a conveying direction; a printing unit which prints an image on the printing medium conveyed by the conveying unit; a processing unit which includes a processing member and which executes a processing action for processing the printing medium by moving the processing member while causing the processing member to contact the printing medium; and a controller. The controller executes a processing process for causing the processing unit to execute the processing action with respect to the printing medium by moving the processing unit from a first position to a second position in an intersecting direction; a first conveying process for causing the conveying unit to convey a processed printing medium in the conveying direction; and a first moving process for moving the processing unit from the second position to the first position after the first conveying process.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus, having a conveyer, a first conveyer path, a printer, a cutter assembly, and a controller, is provided. The cutter assembly cuts the printing medium into a first part located frontward and a second part located rearward in a first conveying direction. The controller controls the printer to print an image in the second part on one side of the printing medium, controls the conveyer to move the printing medium from the first conveyer path to a second conveyer path through a first switchback action and inverts the printing medium by conveying in a second conveying direction, controls the printer to print an image in the second part on the other side of the printing medium, and controls the cutter assembly to cut the printing medium into a first printing medium having the first part and a second printing medium having the second part.

A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head, a sensor, a carriage, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform: setting a first sheet at a first printing position; printing an image on the first sheet while conveying the first sheet from the first printing position; determining whether an interval is more than a predetermined period; in a case where the interval is determined to be more than the predetermined period: causing the carriage to move in a first direction to a first detection position at which a second sheet is detected; and in response to detecting the second sheet, causing the carriage to move in the first direction to a first carriage position.

Liquid ejection apparatus

A printing apparatus, having a container to store a printing medium therein, an acquisition device to acquire image data, a printing device to print an image on the printing medium, a cutter assembly to cut the printing medium, and a controller, is provided. In a case where a size of the image contained in the image data acquired by the acquisition device is smaller than a size of the printing medium stored in the container, the controller generates rotated image data containing a rotated image, which is an image rotated from an original posture of the image in the image data acquired by the acquisition device, controls the printing device based on the generated rotated image data to print the rotated image on the printing medium, and controls the cutter assembly to cut the printing medium having the rotated image printed by the printing device thereon.

A printing apparatus, having a conveyer, a first conveyer path, a printer, a cutter assembly, and a controller, is provided. The controller controls the printer to print images for at least two pages on a first side of a printing medium; after printing the images on the first side of the printing medium, controls the conveyer to move the printing medium to a second conveyer path being a different path from the first conveyer path through a switchback action and invert the printing medium by conveying in a second conveying direction; after inverting the printing medium, controls the printer to print an image in a predetermined part on a second side opposite to the first side of the printing medium; and after printing the image in the predetermined part on the second side of the printing medium, control the cutter assembly to cut the printing medium.

Printing apparatus with cutter and inverting mechanism

There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including: a head, a conveyer having a roller arranged at the downstream of the head according to a conveyance direction, and a controller. The controller is configured to carry out: a recording process, a first determining process to determine whether or not a predetermined time has elapsed since the recording process, a conveying process to convey a medium in if the first determining process determines that the predetermined time has elapsed, and a setting process to set a predetermined time based on a discharge amount of a liquid from a plurality of nozzles onto a recording area and a conveyance time for the conveyer to convey the medium from the recording area to the roller, before the first determining process.

Liquid discharge apparatus

There is provided an image recording apparatus, including: a feed roller; a conveyer; a recording head; a carriage; a motor; a transmission mechanism; a lock detector; and a controller. The controller is configured to: record image on recording medium by alternately repeating a line feed process and a recording process; start feeding of second recording medium, before the recoding of the image to first recoding medium is completed, by rotating the motor to drive the feed roller; continue, in a case that the motor lock state is detected before the recording of the image to first recording medium is completed, a control for rotating the motor, until a process for recoding the image to first recording medium being executed when the motor lock state is detected, is completed; and stop a driving of the motor after the process for recoding the image to first recording medium is completed.

A controller is configured to: when both a first conveyor and a second conveyor are operating concurrently, determine whether a reference current value exceeds a threshold value, the reference current value being obtained based on at least one of a first driving current that is a driving current of the first conveyor and a second driving current that is a driving current of the second conveyor; in response to determining that the reference current value exceeds the threshold value, continue an operation of an earlier-driven conveyor that is one of the first conveyor and the second conveyor that is started at earlier timing, and temporarily stop an operation of a later-driven conveyor that is one of the first conveyor and the second conveyor that is started at later timing; and after a driving current of the earlier-driven conveyor drops to a particular standard, restart the operation of the later-driven conveyor.

A controller of an inkjet printing apparatus is configured such that, in response to receipt of a preceding command, which notifies transmission of a recording command in advance, from an information processing device through the communication device, the controller executes a separating process to move from a covering position to a spaced position, a moving process to move a carriage, from which the cap is separated, from a first position to a second position, a flushing process to cause the inkjet head to eject the ink toward an ink receiver in response to receipt of a recording command instructing recording of an image on the sheet and upon completion of the moving process, and a recording process to cause a conveyer to convey the sheet and cause the inkjet head to eject the ink in accordance with the recording command, in response to completion of the flushing process.

Inkjet printing apparatus operable in response to a preceding command

An image forming system has a transmission assembly, standard and auxiliary sheet feeders, standard and auxiliary trays, an image forming device and a controller. The transmission assembly is for switching transmission of a drive force of a motor selectively to the one of the standard and auxiliary sheet feeders. The controller determines whether sheet is absent in the standard tray. The controller, based on determining the sheet is absent in the standard tray and receipt of preceding data, control the transmission assembly to initiate to switch the transmission of the drive force to the auxiliary sheet feeder. Also the controller, based on receipt of control data received after preceding data, control the image forming device to form an image based on the control data.

Image forming system including plurality of sheet feeders and method therefor having switching control features

There is provided a printing apparatus including: a platen; a head; a carriage moving in a first direction and a second direction; a sensor configured to detect the medium; a memory; and a controller. Before a certain printing pass starts, the controller is configured to get a first distance value in the first direction between the sensor and a most downstream nozzle and a second distance value between an end of the medium and a close landing position that is closest to the end of the medium. The controller is configured to continue the certain printing pass without stopping the movement of the carriage, when the controller has determined that the second distance value is larger than the first distance value, and when the controller has determined that the medium is supported by the platen.

An electronic device is configured to acquire image data containing a test pattern including first and second patterns intersecting with each other. Pixels corresponding to the test pattern are determined by comparing brightness of each pixel with a threshold value, and widths of an overlapped image of the first and second patterns in an orthogonal direction at a plurality of different positions in the reference direction are calculated. Intersecting positions of the first pattern and the second pattern in the test pattern is detected based on a distribution of widths at the plurality of different positions. The test pattern has a model pattern having a set width in the orthogonal direction separate from the first and second patterns. The pixels corresponding to the test pattern are determined based on a threshold value, and widths at the plurality of positions of the overlapped image in the reference direction are calculated.
