A method for producing a vehicle seat member in which a frame member having protrusions is integrally molded to a foamed resin molded body is provided. The method comprises an in-mold foam molding step of placing the frame member in a mold, packing prefoamed resin particles, and molding the foamed resin molded body by in-mold foam molding; and a demolding step of removing the mold to obtain the vehicle seat member, wherein in the in-mold foam molding step, the foamed resin molded body is molded so that (B&#x2212;A)/B is 13/1000 or less, wherein A is an outer dimension of the foamed resin molded body in the vehicle seat member obtained by the demolding step and B is an inner dimension of the mold corresponding to the outer dimension of the foamed resin molded body.

Provided is a method for suppressing deformation by contraction after molding of a vehicle seat member comprising a foamed resin molded body embedding a frame member. The method manufactures a vehicle seat member () including a foamed resin molded body () and a frame member () at least a part of which is embedded therein in which the frame member () includes frameworks (), () extending inside the foamed resin molded body () along an outer shape () of the vehicle seat member () in plan view. Vehicle seat member and method of manufacturing same

Provided are a vehicle seat member in which even when a foamed resin molded body forming the vehicle seat member shrinks after being demolded, influence of the shrinkage behavior on a frame member embedded in the foamed resin molded body can be prevented, and thus a change in the position of a protrusion, which serves as a part to be anchored to a vehicle body, of the frame member can be prevented, whereby the vehicle seat member can be attached to the vehicle body side easily and reliably, and a vehicle seat including such a vehicle seat member. A vehicle seat member includes a foamed resin molded body and a frame member integrally formed therewith, the frame member including a body portion embedded in the foamed resin molded body and protrusions each protruding from the body portion and having a tip end protruding outward from the foamed resin molded body.

A molded foam is provided in which even when a force in a sliding direction is applied to another member in contact with its surface, the occurrence of a shift in position relative to the other member can effectively be prevented and the occurrence of unusual noise due to rubbing between its surface and the other member can effectively be prevented. The molded foam is formed by heating expandable resin particles filled into a foaming mold. The molded foam has a plurality of first ridges arranged in one direction and a plurality of second ridges arranged in another direction and disposed so as to intersect the first ridges, the first and second ridges being provided on the surface of the molded foam.

The method manufactures a vehicular seat member including a frame member and a foamed resin molded body to embed the frame member. Firstly the frame member is placed in a molding die so that the frame member extends along the outer shape of the vehicular seat member in plan view of the vehicular seat member. Next the foamed resin molded body is formed in the molding die so that the foamed resin molded body has a rim part embedding the frame member and having an outer shape of the vehicular seat member and an extension extending inward from the rim part so as to bridge the rim part inside of the rim part. During the forming, the method forms a break in the extension so as to divide the extension along the direction intersecting the extending direction of the extension.

Composite resin particles including: a polyethylene-based resin and a polystyrene-based resin, wherein the polyethylene-based resin and the polystyrene-based resin are included in the ranges of 50 to 20% by mass and 50 to 80% by mass respectively, with respect to the total of these resins, the polyethylene-based resin is composed of: a first polyethylene-based resin having a medium density to a high density in the range of 925 to 965 kg/m; and a second polyethylene-based resin which is linear and which has a lower density than the first polyethylene-based resin, and the first polyethylene-based resin and the second polyethylene-based resin are included in the ranges of 90 to 30% by mass and 10 to 70% by mass respectively, with respect to the total of these resins.
