Disclosed are systems and methods of adding tags for use in detecting computer attacks. In one aspect, the system comprises a computer protection module configured to: receive a security notification, extract an object from the security notification, search for the extracted object in a threat database, add a first tag corresponding to the extracted object in the threat database only when the extracted object is found in the threat database, search for signs of suspicious activity in a database of suspicious activities based on the received security notification and the added first tag, and when at least one sign of suspicious activity is found, extract a second tag from the database of suspicious activities and add the second tag to an object database, wherein the object database is used for identifying signature of targeted attacks based on security notifications, objects, first tags and second tags.

System and method of adding tags for use in detecting computer attacks

Disclosed are systems and methods for cloud detection, investigation and elimination of targeted attacks. In one exemplary aspect, the system comprises a computer protection module configured to: gather information on an object in a computer in a network; and save a security notification with the object in an object database in the network; and a module for protection against targeted attacks configured to: search for the object in a threat database in the network; add one or more tags to the object when the object is found in the threat database and adding a correspondence between a record in the object database and the threat database; and determine that a computer attack has occurred when the one or more tags correspond to signatures in a database of computer attacks.

An example method includes identifying, by the driver interceptor, the one or more boot drivers that have been loaded into memory but not yet initialized; installing, by the driver interceptor, an interceptor handler operable to intercept calls of initialization routines of the one or more identified boot drivers; intercepting, by the driver interceptor, program calls to the initialization routines of the one or more identified boot drivers; storing, by intercept handler, information about the boot driver that is provided by the driver in the course of its initialization, wherein information contains at least address of the entry point for one or more routines of the boot driver; and providing access, by driver interceptor, to the routines of the boot driver by previously stored addresses of the entry points.

System and method for providing access to original routines of boot drivers

System and method for detecting malware on a target computer system having a bootable device. Boot process information stored on the bootable device that at least partially defines a boot process of the target computer system is obtained, along with physical parameter data defining a storage arrangement structure of the bootable device. The boot process of the target computer system is emulated based on the boot process information and on the physical parameter data. The emulation includes executing instructions of the boot process information and tracking data accessed from the bootable device. A data structure representing the data accessed from the bootable device is stored during the emulation of the boot process. The data structure can be analyzed for any presence of boot process malware.
