A deteriorated capacity calculator calculates a deteriorated capacity that is a capacity reduced from the capacity of a cell in an initial state. A gas amount calculator calculates an amount of gas contained in a container for the cell, from the deteriorated capacity. A pressure calculator calculates a pressure inside the container for the cell from the amount of the gas, a volume of a void space of the container for the cell and the temperature of the cell. A pressure monitor outputs a control signal for stopping charging or discharging of the battery when the pressure inside the container for at least any one cell is equal to or greater than a threshold pressure.

Rechargeable battery protecting apparatus and power storage system

Battery cells are disposed apart from each other in a housing of a battery module included in a power storage device. In the battery module, a partition member is provided that divides a space in the housing into a high temperature region, which contains battery cells located centrally in a disposal direction of the battery cells, and a low temperature region, which contains battery cells located at end portions in the disposal direction of the battery cells. The cooling air flow supplied from a fan passes between the battery cells in the high temperature region, passes through ventilation holes provided in the partition members, enters the low temperature region, passes between the battery cells in the low temperature region, passes through a discharge hole, and flows outside of the housing.

Power storage device

A storage battery deterioration measurement device and a power storage system are provided which measure deterioration in unit batteries included in an assembled battery constituting a storage battery in a shorter time than conventional devices and systems, and which include a control unit to acquire information based on the states of the multiple unit batteries and a deterioration determination unit to detect the unit battery indicating the maximum value among the information acquired by the control unit and the unit battery indicating the minimum value thereamong, and to detect deterioration in the unit batteries on the basis of the difference between a per-predetermined-period variation of information on the unit battery indicating the maximum value and a per-predetermined-period variation of information on the unit battery indicating the minimum value.

Storage battery deterioration measurement device and power storage system

A battery internal state estimation apparatus including: an internal state estimation unit, which inputs at least one of measured values obtained by a battery measurement unit at preset sampling intervals including a current flowing through a battery, an inter-terminal voltage, a temperature of the battery, and an ambient air temperature, for estimating, based on the measured values, at least one of a state of charge, internal temperature, capacity, and internal resistance of the battery as an internal state of the battery; and an internal state correction unit for correcting estimated values of the internal state obtained by the internal state estimation unit so that the estimated values are not contradictory at least to qualitative properties of the battery, and outputting the corrected values to an output unit.

A hybrid-vehicle power generator control apparatus includes an integrated control unit that issues a driving command and a control command to an engine control unit and an electric-power conversion system control unit, respectively, based on requested electric power requested by a load apparatus, and a limiter that limits the control command from the integrated control unit such that when rotation frequency of an electric power generator is same as or lower than a predetermined value, the value of torque generated by the electric power generator becomes smaller than the value of torque generated by an engine. A limitation of the control command by the limiter prevents torques of the engine and the electric power generator from stepping out of the stable operating points.

Hybrid vehicle power generation control apparatus

A DC/DC conversion device that includes three-level power conversion circuits in a plurality of phases. A controller of a battery monitoring apparatus, said controller calculating the amount of heat generated inside a battery on the basis of information about the electric current which flows out of or flows into the battery. A resistance calculation activator determines whether or not an electric car is stopped on the basis of a drive command signal and an external signal, and activates a resistance calculator if a powering command is input as the drive command when it is determined that the electric car is stopped. The activated resistance calculator computes, within a resistance calculation period, a resistance value of an AC motor that produces driving force for the electric car, on the basis of a d-axis voltage command value and a d-axis current value supplied to the AC motor.

In a host controller included in a vehicle control apparatus, a generator-torque-command generating unit monitors an abnormal operation of the engine on the basis of an engine power generation command and a detection signal of a rotating speed detector, switches, when the abnormal operation of the engine is detected, a generator torque command to the lowest value of a torque command value for abnormal time set in advance as the generator torque command, thereafter, gradually increases the generator torque command, and, after recording, as a torque limit value, the magnitude of the generator torque command (a torque command value for abnormal time 3) at the time when the abnormal operation of the engine is detected again, switches the generator torque command to a torque command value for abnormal time (a torque command value for abnormal time 2) having a value smaller than the torque limit value.

Power converter

Switches change the resistance value of a charge/discharge circuit in a period from starting a discharging at an upper limit voltage until the voltage reaches a lower limit voltage. An electric charge estimator computes electric charge by time-integrating current from a start of the discharging to an arbitrarily determined time, and computes a relationship between electric charge and voltage of a power storage device. An internal resistance estimator computes internal resistance based on voltages and currents of the storage device at times when resistance values are different. An electric energy estimator computes a relationship between electric charge and open voltage based on electric charge, voltage, current and internal resistance of the storage device. During charging or discharging of the storage device, the electric energy estimator estimates the electric energy of the power storage device based on the electric charge, the open voltage, the internal resistance, and the charge/discharge current.

An over temperature protection device for electric motors applicable to a railway vehicle driving system that operates a plurality of electric motors in parallel using one or a plurality of inverter devices includes a control device configured to control the operation of an inverter device and a protecting device configured to detect, on the basis of a frequency fs including frequency information at the time when the inverter device is applying control for fixing a ratio of a voltage and a frequency to electric motors and electric currents of at least one phase flowing to the electronic motors, an over temperature that could occur in the electric motors, to generate an over temperature protection signal Tf for protecting the electric motors from the over temperature, and to output the over temperature protection signal Tf to the control device.
