Systems and methods for facilitating interface with an access control system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a system comprises at least one processor and memory storing instructions executable by the at least one processor, the instructions when executed cause the system to obtain image data from one or more image sensors; detect, from the image data, interaction of a user with an object, wherein the object is located in a vicinity of a controlled area, and wherein the object is electromechanically independent of the access control system and the image sensors; and grant the user access to the controlled area responsive to detecting interaction between the user and the object.

A method for monitoring and controlling a cleanliness of a space including: monitoring a distance of one or more individuals relative to an object within the space using a space monitoring system; determining when the distance is less than a selected distance; determining a number of the one or more individuals within the selected distance of object; determining a duration that the one or more individuals are within the selected distance of the object; and determining that the object requires a cleaning when at least one of: the number of the one or more individuals within the selected distance of object exceeds a threshold number, or the duration that the one or more individuals are within the selected distance of the object exceeds a threshold time.

Method and system to analyze spaces for cleaning based on the presence of an individual

An access control system and a method for operating an access control system are provided. The access control system includes a camera and an access control device and may additionally include a local processing device. At least one of the camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) may be used to store a biometric identifier (e.g., in a storage medium) and compare an optical image with the biometric identifier (e.g., in an authentication module) to decide whether or not a mechanical or electronic lock should be unlocked. The camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) are in short-range communication (e.g., to transmit the optical image and/or an authentication signal). The use of short-range communication allows the comparison of the optical image with the stored biometric identifier to be done locally instead of remotely (e.g., in a sever).

Biometric enabled access control

A system includes a processor, a storage medium, a data file, blockchain application, a lock assembly, and a digital key. The data file is stored in the storage medium, and is applied by the blockchain application. The data file includes a plurality of linked blocks, each including a respective transaction data of a plurality of transaction data. Each one of the plurality of transaction data includes a respective event and a time stamp. The blockchain application is stored in the storage medium, executed by the processor, and is configured to output an authorization based on a current grant event of a transaction data of the plurality of transaction data. The digital key is adapted to operate the lock assembly, wherein at least one of the lock assembly and the digital key is configured to receive the authorization in order for the digital key to operate the lock assembly.

Blockchain supported smart lock system

A system for wirelessly transmitting power between a mobile device and a locking device is provided. In one embodiment power is wirelessly transmitted from the locking device to the mobile device. In another embodiment power is wirelessly transmitted from the mobile device to the locking device. In both embodiments power is transmitted wirelessly when the storage of power is below a critical level in one of the devices (e.g., the mobile device or the locking device). When the power is at a critical level the device (e.g., mobile device or locking device) may not be able to complete a function (e.g., transmit an access credential or actuate a mechanical or electronic lock). As such, wirelessly transmitting power between the mobile device and the locking device may enable the function to be completed.

A method of training a gesture-based access control system includes repetitiously performing an intentional gesture indicative of an intentional gesture type by a user of a mobile device. The intentional gesture is representative of an intent of the user to gain access. The application then forms a model of the selected intentional gesture type from the repetitious performances of the intentional gesture. The model is configured to be applied by the software-based application to confirm future performances of the intentional gesture.

The data file is stored in the medium, and includes a plurality of linked blocks. The blockchain application is stored in the medium and executed by the processor.
