An enzyme-containing bleaching composition is disclosed containing an inorganic peroxide, an enzyme, and one or more anhydrous salts selected from the group consisting of anhydrous sodium citrate, anhydrous magnesium sulfate, anhydrous calcium chloride and anhydrous zinc sulfate.

A fabric sizing emulson composition is obtained by emulsion polymerization of a vinyl monomer in the presence of a cationic polymer and a non-ionic water-soluble polymer, the resulting vinyl polymer having a cationic nitrogen content of 0.004 to 0.2% by weight based on the vinyl polymer. The obtained sizing agent is used by diluting it with water to a relatively large extent.

A uniform transparent aqueous liquid composition is disclosed. The solid components of the composition consist essentially of; (A) a nonionic surfactant having one or more polyoxyethylene radicals in the molecule as a hydrophilic group, (B) a nonionic water soluble polymer having hydroxyl radicals or pyrrolidone radicals in the molecule, and (C) as a fluorescent optical brightener, a 4,4'-bis(2-sulfostyryl)biphenyl salt. The composition is especially effective on clothes made of hydrophobic fibers, such as polyester fibers.
