Apparatuses and methods for DDD status event handling with I-SMF improvement. In one embodiment, a session management function, SMF, node is provided. The SMF node includes processing circuitry configured to receive a subscription request to an event associated with the SMF node where the subscription request includes at least one of a packet detection rule, PDR, information and a Traffic Descriptor, and instruct a user plane function, UPF, node based at least on the subscription request.

The present disclosure proposes network elements (NEs), methods at NEs for facilitating data forwarding, and a telecommunications system comprising the NEs. The method at a first network element for facilitating data forwarding may comprise: receiving, from a second network element, a first message comprising a first indicator indicating that a data forwarding function is supported by the second network element. Further, the first message may be a first request message which requests registering, at the first network element, one or more functions of the second network element comprising the data forwarding function. Further, the method may further comprise transmitting, to the second network element, a first response message comprising a second indicator indicating success of the registration.

There is provided a method for handling an updated profile of a first network function (NF) node of a service producer in a network. The method is performed by a network repository function (NRF) node. Priority information for the first NF node is removed () from the updated profile received from the first NF node if the NRF node previously changed the priority information. The priority information is for use by the network node in selecting an NF node of a service producer to provide a service requested by a second NF node of a service consumer. The priority information is indicative of a priority with which the first NF node is to be selected relative to at least one other NF node of the service producer. Transmission () of the updated profile, with the priority information removed, is initiated towards the network node.
