An electronic device with photographing function is provided. The electronic device includes a first image-capturing unit, a second image-capturing unit, a touch display screen and a processing unit. The first image-capturing unit includes a straight photosensitive unit. The second image-capturing unit includes a transverse photosensitive unit. The processing unit is coupled to the first image-capturing unit, the second image-capturing unit and the touch display screen. The processing unit determines, according to the user's operation of the electronic device, to use the straight photosensitive unit of the first image-capturing unit to capture a first image from a pickup target or to use the transverse photosensitive unit of the second image-capturing unit to capture a second image from the pickup target.

Electronic device having a photographing function and photographing method thereof

An electronic device including a physical button, a processing unit and a sensing unit is provided. The processing unit is coupled to the physical button and the sensing unit is coupled to the processing unit. When the electronic device enters a hibernation mode or in a shutdown state, the sensing unit continuously detects a wake-up signal. When receiving the wake-up signal, the sensing unit wakes up the processing unit. The sensing unit further receives an instruction signal externally, generates an instruction information according to the instruction signal, and sends the instruction information to the processing unit. When receiving the instruction information, the processing unit adjusts a corresponding function of the physical button according to the instruction information.

Wake-up and physical button function adjusting method and electronic device using the same

A portable device and a method for enabling the portable device are disclosed. The portable device comprises a power module, a processing module, a sensing module, and an enable control module. The power module is configured to provide electric power. The processing module is configured to run an operating system to drive the portable device when the processing module itself is enabled. The sensing module is configured to sense a gesture to generate a group of touch sensing signals, and to judge whether the group of touch sensing signals conform to a group of predefined signals so as to generate an operating system enabling signal. The enable control module is configured to temporarily enable the sensing module according to a switching signal, and to enable the processing module according to the operating system enabling signal.

Portable device and method for enabling the same

The present disclosure provides an electronic display device including a backlight module, a light sensor, a storage device, an embedded controller, and a processing unit. The light sensor detects ambient light surrounding the electronic display device. The embedded controller controls intensity of the backlight module according to the ambient light and a brightness table of the storage device. The processing unit performs a basic input/output system to draw a brightness curve diagram according to the brightness table for users to adjust the curve of the brightness curve diagram during a boot process of the electronic display device and update the brightness table in the storage device according to the adjusted brightness curve diagram in response to a storing signal.

An operation method of an electronic apparatus is provided, wherein a setting procedure of safety mechanism is executed first. The procedure includes: receiving a setting operation through a setting interface so as to select plural sensing units from a sensing unit group; creating a unlocking information according to the setting operation, wherein the unlocking information includes an enabling sequence of the selected sensing units; making the unlocking information associated with the operation function. After finishing the setting procedure of safety mechanism, when a trigger event conforming to the unlocking information is received, the operation corresponding to the unlocking information is executed.

Method of operating an electronic apparatus

A method of transferring a file via a network includes following steps: transmitting a read request packet from a client to a server, the read request packet having multiple-packets-transmission information, wherein the multiple-packets-transmission information is labeled with an amount index, and transmitting a plurality of data packets corresponding to the file from the server to the client continuously according to an amount index of the multiple-packets-transmission information after the server receives the read request packet. The client receives the plurality of data packets from the server without replying any acknowledgement packet to the server within the continuous transmission of the plurality of data packets.

Method of transferring a file via a network and file transferring system thereof

A computer system and a control method thereof are provided, wherein the computer system comprises an embedded controller (EC), a basic input/output system (BIOS), and an operating system (OS). In the method, when the computer system is rotated, the EC makes the BIOS identify a present rotation state of the computer system by an interrupt signal and an internal communication scheme. Then, the BIOS establishes a data structure in accordance with a virtual scan code and the rotation state, and then transmits the data structure to the OS. After that, the OS controls a program installed in the computer system to execute a related operation of the rotation state according to the data structure.

Computer system and control method thereof

An electrical device supporting switchable graphics function, electrically connected with a display unit, includes a first graphic chip, a second graphic chip, a peripheral, an Embedded Controller (EC) and a processing unit. Information of a present graphic chip is stored in an EC RAM of the EC, wherein the present graphic chip is one of the first graphic chip and the second graphic chip. A control unit of the EC obtains the information of the present graphic chip from the EC RAM and controls operation status of the peripheral according to the obtained information of the present graphic chip. The processing unit obtains the information of the present graphic chip from the EC RAM. The processing unit drives the present graphic chip to process an image signal and transmit the processed image signal to the display unit for display according to the obtained information of the present graphic chip.
