A power supply and a power saving method thereof are provided. The power saving method includes: utilizing a monitoring circuit within the power supply to generate a monitoring signal according to operating loading of the power supply; and utilizing a control signal generating circuit within the power supply to generate a control signal according to the monitoring signal, to drive at least two switch transistors within a circuitry within the power supply, wherein the switch transistors are connected in parallel.

Power supply and power saving method thereof

A power supply apparatus including a power conversion circuit, a single transformer, a conjugate energy-storing inductor and a first and a second rectifying and filtering circuit is provided. The single transformer has a primary winding, a first secondary winding and a second secondary winding. The primary winding is coupled to the power conversion circuit and the first and second secondary windings respectively induce a corresponding voltage based on a voltage of the primary winding. The conjugate energy-storing inductor has a first and a second conjugate coil isolated from each other. The first and second rectifying and filtering circuits respectively charges/discharges in response to the voltage induced by the first and second rectifying and filtering circuits, and thereby respectively provides a first and a second output voltage via the output terminals of the first and second rectifying and filtering circuits.

Power supply apparatus

A forward-based power conversion apparatus is provided. When the forward-based power conversion apparatus supplies a plurality of (at least two of) output voltages to a load, a reverse voltage, corresponding to a lower output voltage, of a secondary winding of a transformer is captured through an equipped output auxiliary unit, so as to assist an output of a higher output voltage. Accordingly, compared to that described in the related art, the reverse voltage of the secondary winding of the transformer described herein can be converted into an effective power output, so that overall power loss of the power conversion apparatus can be reduced, and conversion efficiency of the power conversion apparatus can be improved.

Forward-based power conversion apparatus

A power conversion apparatus and control method thereof are provided. The power conversion apparatus includes an output capacitor, an AC-to-DC conversion circuit, a transformer-based auxiliary circuit, an inrush suppression component and a switching circuit. The AC-to-DC conversion circuit is configured to convert an AC power into a DC power. The auxiliary circuit provides a leakage inductance energy. The inrush suppression component provides a first conduction path, and the switching circuit provides a second conduction path. When the switching circuit cuts off the second conduction path in response to the leakage inductance energy, the AC-to-DC conversion circuit conducts the DC power to the output capacitor via the first conduction path. When the switching circuit turns on the second conduction path in response to the leakage inductance energy, the AC-to-DC conversion circuit conducts the DC power to the output capacitor via the second conduction path.

Power conversion apparatus and control method thereof

A power supply apparatus including a multi-outputs power supply circuit and a first regulating circuit is provided. The multi-outputs power supply circuit has a plurality of output terminals. The multi-outputs power supply circuit provides a first voltage from one output terminal among the output terminals and provides a second voltage from another one output terminal among the output terminals, where a rated voltage value of the first voltage is greater than a rated voltage value of the second voltage. The first regulating circuit is coupled between the one output terminal and the another one output terminal, where the first regulating circuit is enabled when the first voltage exceeds a first threshold, and begins to regulate the second voltage after being enabled.

A reverse energy recovery circuit is located on a power conversion circuit equipped with a transformer which has a primary winding side connected to a power switch driven by a control unit. The primary winding side has a first end and a second end bridged by the reverse energy recovery circuit which comprises a first capacitor, a second capacitor, an ancillary winding and a diode. The first and second capacitors are coupled in series. The second capacitor has one end connected to the first end of the primary winding side. The ancillary winding has a first end connected to the first end of the primary winding side. The diode has a cathode connected to a second end of the ancillary winding and an anode bridged the first and second capacitors so that the diode and ancillary winding form a one way path between the first and second capacitors.
