A handheld device includes a base comprising a handgrip for receiving a vibration movement, a gripping element linked to the base for releasably connecting the handheld device to an object, at least one inertia sensor for detecting an acceleration of the vibration movement to generate an acceleration signal, a processing unit for determining to generate a cancellation decision according to the acceleration signal, and at least one actuator for controlling movement of the gripping element according to the cancellation decision, such that the acceleration is counteracted.

Handheld device and vibration cancellation method

A skewed image data detecting and correcting device includes a skew angle detecting module, and an image rotating correction module. A skewed image data detecting and correcting method includes the following steps. Firstly, a binary digitizing operation is performed to obtain a binary image data. The binary image data is rotated by multiple different rotating angles, thereby obtaining multiple rotated binary image data. The pixel numbers of all horizontal rows of the rotated binary image data are totalized, thereby obtaining multiple horizontal pixel number distribution curves. A high-pass filtering procedure is performed to filter off low-frequency noise, thereby obtaining multiple high-frequency signal curves. The square sums of respective high-frequency signal curves are calculated, thereby obtaining multiple index values. Afterward, a rotating correction operation is performed on the image data according to the rotating angle corresponding to a maximum of the index values, thereby obtaining a corrected image data.

Method and device for detecting and correcting skewed image data

A method is used with a document camera and an image display device for adjusting the image display range. The document camera includes an image synthesis controller and a graphics buffer. In the method, a first image frame and a second image frame are received by the image synthesis controller. In response to the image parallel display information, the graphics buffer is divided into a first region and a second region, and the image synthesis controller fills partial data of the first image frame and second image frame into the first region and the second region, respectively. In response to a change of the image parallel display information made by the user, the graphics buffer is divided into a third region and a fourth region, and the image synthesis controller fills partial data of the first image frame and second image frame into the third region and the fourth region, respectively. The data filled in the graphics buffer is then outputted to the image display device as a synthesized frame to be displayed.

Method for adjusting image display range of a document camera

A document camera is used to show image of an object on a display. In the document camera, a first image data of the object obtained by a video-capturing device is derived into a second image data and a third image data by an image processor in response to a zoom operation, wherein the second image data results in a zoomed image of the object and the third image data results in a scaled image of the object. In response to the zoom operation, there is also a mark frame data generated by a position information controller, which results in a mark frame. The zoomed image, scaled image and mark frame are then synthesized into a combined image by an image synthesizer, and the mark frame superimposes the scaled image to indicate a result of the zoom operation.
