A semiconductor processing tool may include a processing tank. The semiconductor processing tool may include an arm arranged to hold a plurality of wafers over the processing tank such that wafers in the plurality of wafers are horizontally stacked over the processing tank. The semiconductor processing tool may include a fan arranged over the arm to permit an airflow to be provided across surfaces of the wafers in a vertical direction toward the processing tank. The semiconductor processing tool may include an exhaust system including at least one exhaust output and one or more exhaust pipe segments arranged substantially around the processing tank and connected to the at least one exhaust output. The one or more exhaust pipe segments may include a plurality of openings to receive exhaust air to be provided to the at least one exhaust output.

An illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is an apparatus including a first loading tray configured to couple to a first wafer holding device holding a plurality of wafers. The first wafer holding device includes a first opening. The apparatus includes a second loading tray configured to couple to a second wafer holding device. The second wafer holding device includes a second opening. The apparatus includes a first motor coupled to the first loading tray and configured to rotate the first wafer holding device until the first opening faces the second opening to allow transfer of the plurality of wafers from the first wafer holding device to the second wafer holding device.

Apparatus and method for transferring wafers

A system and an operating method for automated wafer carrier handling are provided. The system includes a storage rack including a standby position and a storage position separated from each other, a first and second moving mechanism, and a controller operatively coupled to the first and second moving mechanism to control operations of the first and second moving mechanism. The storage position is for buffering a wafer carrier awaiting transfer to a load port. The first moving mechanism is movably coupled to the storage rack and provides at least one degree of freedom of movement to transfer the wafer carrier from the storage position to the standby position. The second moving mechanism is disposed over the storage rack, operatively coupled the storage rack to the load port, and provides at least one degree of freedom of movement to transfer the wafer carrier from the standby position to the load port.

System and method for automated wafer carrier handling

A method for performing a wet chemical process over a semiconductor wafer is provided. The method includes moving the semiconductor wafer into a chemical solution. The method further includes leaving the semiconductor wafer in the chemical solution for a processing time period. The method also includes turning the semiconductor wafer upside down while the wafer is in the chemical solution. Moreover, the method includes removing the semiconductor wafer from the chemical solution.

Method and system for wet chemical bath process

At least a first reticle is stored in a housing of a stocker. A first gas is delivered to the housing. At least one reticle pod having an additional reticle is delivered into a enclosure within the housing of the stocker. A second gas different from the first gas is delivered to the enclosure. The reticle pod is automatically retrieved from the enclosure. The delivery and retrieval of the reticle pod and delivery of the first gas and the second gas are automatically controlled.

Method and structure for automated inert gas charging in a reticle stocker

In some embodiments, an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) for storing workpieces includes a main body, a robotic arm mechanism and at least one first station. The workpiece comprises a first container configured to hold at least one article. The main body includes at least one side wall configured to confine a storage space for the workpieces in at least one first direction parallel to a floor. The robotic arm mechanism is configured to reach the storage space, the storage space being further confined by the robotic arm mechanism in at least one second direction opposite to the at least one first direction. The at least one first station is configured with at least one first accessing port located within the storage space, and configured for the ASRS to perform a routine for a process flow.

Automating storage, retrieval, and routine for process flow

Reticle management systems and methods. The system comprises at least one reticle and at least one cabinet with an inert gas environment. The cabinet comprises a plurality of storage spaces. When the reticle is put in a storage space, the cabinet identifies the reticle and the storage space occupied thereby. The cabinet provides inert gas to the reticle. The storage information of the reticle in the cabinet and/or an inert gas status of the reticle are provided to a query system and a dispatch system for reticle location query and lot dispatching.
