An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts, a plurality of wires and a locking mechanism. The insulative housing has a first side and a second side. The locking mechanism comprises a rotating member and a fastener, the rotating member has a pair of opposite rotary arms rotatably connected to the insulative housing and an holding arm, and the fastener is arranged on an inner side of the holding arm, the rotating member has a first status and a second status which can be switched by rotation, while the rotating member in the first status, the electrical connector and the complementary connector can be freely plugged in or separated from each other, and while the rotating member being rotated to near or in the second status, the fastener rotates or shifts to achieve a locking of the electrical connector and the complementary connector.

Electrical connector having a locking mechanism

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a plurality of contact-receiving passageways extending through thereof along a front-and-back direction, a plurality of contacts inserted into the corresponding contact-receiving passageways along a rear-to-front direction and a limiting member assembled to the insulative housing. The contacts includes at least one row arranged along a transverse direction, and each contact defines a contacting part contacting with a complementary contact and a crimping portion connected with a wire. The insulative housing defines a positioning slot on one side thereof along a height direction, and the positioning slot extends along a transverse direction, the limiting member is inserted and retained in the positioning slot for locking the plurality of contacts simultaneously.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the insulative housing and a fastener. The insulative housing has a rear surface. Each contact has a connecting leg extending beyond the rear surface. The connecting legs are arranged in at least a row, and each connecting leg has a connecting portion and a resisting portion. The fastener has at least a contact receiving chamber, a flexible circuit board receiving chamber communicating with the contact receiving chamber and a press section. The contact receiving chamber is arranged between from the flexible circuit board receiving chamber and the press section. Wherein the fastener has a fixed position on the insulative housing, and as moving the fastener to the fixed position, the press section presses the resisting portion to drive the connecting portion projecting into the flexible circuit board receiving chamber.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a number of electrical contacts. The insulative housing has a top wall, a bottom wall and a number of side walls. The side walls form a number of passageways extending through the insulative housing. The electrical contacts are received in the passageways and each includes a contacting portion, a tail portion and a main portion connecting with the contacting portion and the tail portion. The main portion is provided with a first fastening means for engaging with the side wall and a second fastening means for engaging with the top wall so as to secure the electrical contacts to the insulative housing.

A power connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of power contacts received in the insulative housing, a contact bus bar electrically connecting with the plurality of power contacts and a fastening element fastening the contact bus bar and an outer terminal arranged behind the insulative housing together. The insulative housing has a mating face at a front side thereof. The power contacts are provided with soldering pads, and the contact bus bar has a front mating pad engaging with the soldering pads. The front mating pad is formed with a plurality of soldering holes, and the front mating pad and the soldering pads being connected electrically via soldering tin set in the soldering holes.

A connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector. The plug insulative housing includes a body portion having a mating surface, a number of cavities extending through the mating surface and a number of contact-receiving slots. The number of male contacts are divided into groups each of which includes two male contacts in parallel relationship. Each male contact includes a contacting portion residing in corresponding cavity, a mounting portion perpendicular to the contacting portion and an inclined portion connecting the contact portion and the mounting portion. In each group, a distance between the contacting portions is larger than a gap between the inclined portions, and the gap between the inclined portions is no less than a gap between the mounting portions.

The rechargeable battery socket includes an insulating housing defining a number of terminal channels, a number of terminals received in the insulating housing, and a shell assembled to one side of the insulating housing. Each terminal includes a contacting portion received in corresponding terminal channel and a tail extending out of the insulating housing. Each terminal channel provides a pair of ribs on two opposite inside faces thereof. The contacting portion of the terminal cooperates with the rib to thereby secure the terminal in the insulating housing.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and two rows of power contacts received in the insulative housing. The insulative housing includes a main body and a mating port extending from the main body. Each power contact includes a mating portion protruding into the mating port, a Z-shaped intermediate portion extending rearwardly from the mating portion and a termination portion. The insulative housing includes a first heat dissipation path extending along a first direction, a second heat dissipation path extending along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a third heat dissipation path extending along a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. The first heat dissipation path, the second heat dissipation path and the third heat dissipation path are surrounding the power contacts for heat dissipation.

A connector assembly includes a plug connector and a receptacle connector mateable with each other. The plug connector includes a plug insulative housing and a pair of plug power contacts. The plug insulative housing includes a first plug cavity, a first plate cantileveredly extending into the first plug cavity, and upper and lower plug contact slots in communication with the first plug cavity. The pair of plug power contacts are respectively received in the upper and lower plug contact slots. Each plug power contact includes a flat contacting section exposed to the first plug cavity and a first soldering section. A power connector includes an insulative housing, at least a pair of power contacts assembled to the at least one contact-receiving passage. The pair of power contacts are arranged oppositely along an up-to-down direction and cooperating with each other. Each of the at least a pair of power contacts includes a cable termination portion, a contacting portion and an intermediate portion connecting the cable termination portion and the contacting portion. One lateral edge of the intermediate portion is a first latching portion, and the other lateral edge of the intermediate portion is a second latching portion. Thus, when the pair of power contacts are assembled together, the first latching portion of one power contact cooperates with the second latching portion of the other power contact, while the second latching portion of the one power contacts cooperates with the first latching portion of the other power contact to form a hollow frame therebetween along an up-to-down direction.
