A card connector includes an insulating housing (), a number of contacts (), an ejector () and a metal shell (). The insulating housing () defines a card receiving space () with a card insertion/ejecting direction. The contacts () are retained in the insulating housing. The ejector () is assembled to the insulating housing, including a slider () movable along the card insertion/ejecting direction, an ejecting arm (), a resilient member () and a locking equipment, the ejecting arm protrudes into the card receiving space and has an upright wall (), a blocking wall () for contacting and ejecting the card directly and a horizontal reinforce wall (), which are linked with one another and defines a space to receive a corner of the card.

An electrical jack () for mating with an audio plug includes an insulative housing () defining a longitudinal central hole (), a plurality of channels, and a pair of gaps communicating with the central hole. A plurality of conductive contacts are received in the channels and each has a contact section, a retention section secured in the channels, and a solder section extending out of the insulative housing. A grounding contact () with a top plate () and a pair of side plates () encloses the insulative housing. Each side plate has a spring arm () extending through the gap into the central hole thereby increasing the mating force with the mating plug.

Electrical jack with improved grounding contact

An electrical connector () adapted for being assembled in a notch () of a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) () comprises a dielectric housing () defining passageways () thereon, a plurality of contacts () received in corresponding passageways, and a retaining device () retaining the electrical connector to the PCB. Each contact comprises a soldering section () extending out the dielectric housing and retained on the PCB. The retaining device has a same thickness W to that of each soldering section of the contact.

An electrical card connector () includes a housing () having a rear wall (), and first and second side walls (and) substantially parallel extending forwards form the rear wall; a shielding member () covering on the housing and defining a receiving cavity together with the first and second side walls for receiving an electrical card (), the receiving cavity having a font entry from which the electrical card is inserted into the receiving cavity; and a number of terminals () disposed in the housing and each having a contact portion () extending into the receiving cavity for contacting the electrical card. A connector assembly () comprises a cable end connector () soldered with a number of wires () and a header connector () which is mounted on a motherboard to mate with the cable end connector. The cable end connector comprises a housing () receiving a number of contacts () therein. The housing defines a first receiving space () for receiving the header connector and a second space () for receiving front ends of the wires. The contacts are located between the first and second spaces, and each having a soldering portion () and a contacting portion (). The soldering portion of each contact has a soldering surface () which faces the second space to be electrically connected with corresponding wires and an inner surface () which opposite to the soldering surface faces the first space.

An electrical connector assembly () includes a first connector (), a second connector () and latching mean. The first connector includes a first housing (), a number of first terminals () received in the first housing and a first shell (). The second connector includes a second housing (), a number of second terminals () received in the second housing and a second shell (). The latching mean includes a latching member () assembled on the first connector and a gap defined on the second connector. The latching member includes a pair of arms (), a connecting portion () connecting the arms, and a latching section () formed on the arm and received in the gap () of the second connector. A coaxial cable termination connector ( ) of a preferred embodiment of the present invention has a shell ( ) defining a cavity ( ), an insulative insert module ( ) and a retainer ( ) respectively received in the cavity of the shell, and a center pin ( ) received in the insert module. The shell has a base portion ( ) and a plurality of grounding pins ( ) symmetrically extending downwardly from the base portion. The grounding pins and the center pin are respectively soldered on a printed circuit board. A coaxial cable is received in the shell, with an inner core conductor being electrically connected to the center pin, and a braided shielding layer being electrically connected to the retainer and the shell.
