An electrical connector includes an insulating body defining a receiving chamber of which a top inside is further concaved upward to form a buckling cavity, an inner cover and an outer shell mounted outside the insulating body. A top wall of the buckling cavity is provided with a window vertically penetrating therethrough to communicate with the buckling cavity. The inner cover has a covering board buckled in the buckling cavity and facing to the window. The outer shell has a base plate covered on the top wall. A portion of the base plate is punched downward to form a contact portion which stretches into the window to electrically contact the covering board of the inner cover so as to achieve a grounding function of the inner cover through the outer shell.

Electrical connector

A USB (Universal Serial Bus) connector includes an insulating housing having a base portion. The base portion extends rearward to form an extending portion. Two sides of a rear surface of the extending portion define two receiving cavities, respectively. A separating wall is formed between two receiving cavities. Two side walls are formed outside the respective receiving cavities. A plurality of signal terminals fixed in the insulating housing respectively have a soldering foot received in the receiving cavity, with a distal end of the soldering foot extending beyond a bottom of the extending portion. A fixing board is inserted in bottoms of the receiving cavities. The fixing board has a base board which defines a clipping slot penetrating a front edge thereof and clipping on the separating wall and two restraining slots at two sides of the clipping slot for constraining the soldering feet of the corresponding signal terminals therein.

USB connector

An audio jack connector has an insulating housing. The insulating housing has a passageway extended from a front surface towards a rear surface thereof for receiving an audio plug connector, a first groove communicated with the passageway and a second groove communicated with the first groove. A first switch terminal received in the first groove has a base plate, an elastic arm extended from one end of the base plate and bent towards the passageway, and a first contacting portion formed at a free end of the elastic arm. A first convexity is formed at a substantially root portion of the elastic arm. A second switch terminal received in the second groove has a second contacting portion. The first contacting portion is driven to move outwards to contact with the second contacting portion when the audio plug connector is inserted in the passageway and resists against the first convexity outwards.

Audio jack connector

An electrical connector includes an inner shell which defines a receiving recess and has a base board, an insulating body which defines a receiving chamber with a front end being opened freely for receiving the inner shell therein, a plurality of terminals insert-molded in the insulating body and exposed to the receiving recess, and an outer shell which encloses the insulating body and has a base plate. A connecting slot is opened in and penetrates through a rear wall of the receiving chamber. A rear edge of the base board is provided with a contact slice passing through the connecting slot and then bent against the rear wall. A rear edge of the base plate is bent downward and then arched forward to form a contact tail which is located behind the rear wall and electrically abuts against the contact slice to achieve a ground function of the inner shell.

A board-to-board connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector mated with each other. The receptacle connector has a receptacle housing, a plurality of first terminals disposed in the receptacle housing, and at least one first fixing member mounted to the receptacle housing and having a base portion. A top of the base portion is bent toward one side and then extends downward to form a propping portion defining a first fixing structure thereon. The plug connector has a plug housing, a plurality of second terminals disposed in the plug housing and contacting the corresponding first terminals electrically, and at least one second fixing member mounted to the plug housing and having a base board. At least one end of the base board extends downward to form a connecting portion defining a second fixing structure thereon which can be buckled with the first fixing structure.

Board-to board connector assembly

An audio jack connector includes a dielectric housing and a plurality of contacts received in the dielectric housing. The dielectric housing defines an insertion hole therein for an audio plug inserted into. One of the contacts is located at a rear of the dielectric housing and includes a bottom plate, a first fixed plate and a second fixed plate respectively extended upward from two opposite ends of the bottom plate. A contact protuberance is protruded towards the second fixed plate from a portion of the first fixed plate. A flexible plate is extended from the second fixed plate to be located between the first and second fixed plates. The flexible plate defines a contact convex protruded towards the first fixed plate at a free end thereof. The contact protuberance and the contact convex are both projected into the insertion hole for contacting with the audio plug.

A flexible printed circuit board connector adapted for receiving a flexible printed circuit board has an insulating housing including two blocking walls, each defines a lateral side having a buckling cavity at a front thereof and a first and second locating cavities at a rear thereof. The buckling cavity includes a first buckling cavity and a second buckling cavity extending frontward from the first buckling cavity. The second locating cavity is located in front of and spaced from the first locating cavity. A cover defines two lateral plates respectively secured to the lateral sides, each has a locating portion and a buckling portion respectively protruded inwards from an inner side thereof. The locating portion is capable of being pivotally mounted in the first locating cavity, and then the locating portion and the buckling portion can be moved frontward to the second locating cavity and the second buckling cavity, respectively.

Flexible printed circuit board connector

A board-to-board connector assembly includes a receptacle connector having a plurality of first terminals, and a plug connector having a plurality of second terminals. Each of the first terminals has a first contact portion and a second contact portion and each of the second terminals has a first contact arm and a second contact arm. When the plug connector is mated with the receptacle connector, the first contact portion and the second contact portion of the first terminal electrically contact the first contact arm and the second contact arm of the corresponding second terminal respectively to make the first terminal and the corresponding second terminal electrically interconnected steadily.

Receptacle connector

A board-to-board connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector. The receptacle connector includes a receptacle housing, a plurality of first terminals and at least one fixing member disposed in the receptacle housing respectively. Each of the first terminals has a crooked first resilient portion and a soldering portion protruded from a free end of the first resilient portion to further project under the receptacle housing. The fixing member has a pair of crooked second resilient portions and two soldering tails each protruded from a free end of the respective second resilient portion to further project under the receptacle housing. The plug connector includes a plug housing mated with the receptacle housing, and a plurality of second terminals disposed in the plug housing and electrically contacting the corresponding first terminals.

Plug connector

An electrical connector has an insulating housing defining a recess. A receiving plate extends frontward from a rear surface of the recess and spaced apart from a bottom surface thereof. A shell coupled with the insulating housing to form an insertion space where the receiving plate is located has a connecting plate located between the receiving plate and the bottom surface of the recess. A portion of the connecting plate is extended and curved upwards and then curved downwards and upwards sequentially to form a substantial split ring-shaped resilient element. The resilient element comprises an upper resistive portion located adjacent to the receiving plate and a lower resistive portion located adjacent to the bottom surface of the recess. A free end of the lower resistive portion extends obliquely upwardly to form a connecting portion. A distal end of the connecting portion forms a propping portion located above the connecting plate.
