An optical connector assembly () has two optical connectors () and a combiner (). Each optical connector has a connector body () with an angled latching arm () formed on the connector body. The latching arm has a fixed end () on the connector body and a free distal end. A groove () is defined on the distal end. The combiner has a combiner body () holding the optical connectors and a cantilevered trigger arm (). The trigger arm has a fixed end on the combiner body and a free distal end. A rod () is formed on the distal end of the trigger arm, and is received in the grooves of the optical connectors.

Optical connector assembly with a low profile

A small form factor transceiver module includes a cage () and a transceiver (). The cage has a top wall (), and two sidewalls () and a rear wall () integrally formed with the top wall. The transceiver received in the cage has a printed circuit board () and at least one optical-electric diode electrically connected to the printed circuit board. The sidewalls have two bottom boards (), each with a flange (). A plurality of pins () is integrally formed with and extends from the bottom boards, the sidewalls and the rear wall.

The cover defines a receiving port for the insertion/withdrawal of the electrical card into/out and at least one gap () on the rear edge thereof. The door device assembles on the cover and shield the receiving port. The door device is formed with at least one projection () on the upper edge thereof for engaging with the gap of the cover to prevent the door device from moving laterally with respect to the cover.

A factory-settable optical subassembly () used in an optical transceiver module includes an optoelectronic converter (), a top can (), and a positioning element (). The optoelectronic converter includes a housing () having an opening () for passage of light and a lens () for focusing light.
