A vehicle providing a personalization setting function using a camera used for a face authentication system includes: a camera configured to have a field of view facing an outside of the vehicle; a communicator configured to wirelessly communicate with a remote controller of the vehicle; a storage storing a plurality of reference face images and a personalization setting corresponding to each of the plurality of reference face images; and a controller electrically connected to the camera, the communicator and the storage and configured to: detect the remote controller based on a signal received from the remote controller through the communicator; activate the camera based on the remote controller being detected; and control at least one electronic device of the vehicle according to a personalization setting corresponding to a first reference face image among the plurality of reference face images, based on a similarity score between the first reference face image and a first image obtained from the camera being greater than a first threshold value.

Vehicle and control method thereof

A vehicular over-the-air (OTA) software update apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The vehicular OTA software update apparatus includes a communication device that downloads a software update package from a server and a controller connected with the communication device. The controller determines whether it is possible to perform a software update based on at least one of a location of a vehicle access authentication means, whether the vehicle access authentication means is an update target, whether the vehicle access authentication means is used to enter a vehicle, or a combination thereof, after the downloading of the software update package is completed, and performs a software update of the update target using the software update package in response to determining that it is possible to perform the software update.

An apparatus for detecting an object of a vehicle is provided. The apparatus includes a camera that acquires an image from front of a vehicle and a controller that generates feature pyramid images based on a plurality of feature images extracted from the image. The controller also generates feature aggregation images by filtering the feature pyramid images, detects a pedestrian area from the feature aggregation images, and detects face regions from the feature pyramid images. At least one of the face regions that overlaps the pedestrian area is then determined as a face of a pedestrian.

An apparatus and method of providing road guidance based on an augmented reality head-up display (HUD) are provided. The method includes creating, by a controller, a route toward a destination and operating the augmented reality HUD to display a virtual preceding vehicle driven along the route to show that the virtual preceding vehicle is driven in front of a traveling vehicle by a reference distance.
