There is provided a light source for an illumination apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same. The light source includes a light emitting device; a power unit module supplying an electrical signal to the light emitting device; a support unit having the light emitting device thereon and discharging heat generated by the light emitting device to the outside; and a housing unit covering and protecting the light emitting device, the power unit module and the support unit. The light emitting device is disposed to have a height greater than that of a contact region between the power unit module and the housing unit with relation to a lower edge of the housing unit.

Light source for illumination apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

A light emitting diode (LED) lighting module is provided including an LED array, and at least one of a diffusing portion and a reflecting portion. The LED array, equipped with at least one LED, may include a side wall which surrounds the at least one LED. The diffusing portion may be detachably coupled to the LED array and may include a diffusion plate which diffuses light emitted from the at least one LED The reflecting portion may be detachably coupled to one of the LED array and the diffusing portion and may reflect light emitted from the at least one LED. The LED array may be selectively coupled with the diffusing portion, the reflecting portion, or both the diffusing portion and the reflecting portion.

Provided is a cover for a recessed lighting apparatus, including: a plurality of profiles, each including a first insertion groove having a coupling member inserted thereinto, a second insertion groove connected to the first insertion groove and formed to have a screw inserted thereinto, and a holding plate formed to have a diffuser plate stably mounted thereon; and an L-shaped coupling member including a body part and a wing part configured to be connected to the body part, inserted into the first insertion groove to be combined with a profile adjacent thereto using a screw, and a lever configured to be separable from a recessed metal housing formed to receive a lighting device therein, the plurality of profiles and the L-shaped coupling member being configured to receive the diffuser plate therein and configured to be separable from the metal housing.
